Hail!

What bands totally mimic the sound and style of Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger? Which are the best at totally sounding almost just like this?

Thanks.

Use the Recommendation Board Astrum, it's what it's there for.

Ulver's Nattens Madrigal is probably the most important and one of the few worth hearing.

Kult Ofenzivy's music sounds a lot like 'Transilvanian Hunger'; rather, every track except the title number.

Judas Iscariot's "Thy Dying Light" should be worth checking out.

Not Nitberg: Nitberg mixes BM with R.A.C. in a way that makes the music completely separate from Transilvanian Hunger sound-alikes, although the BM portions aren't too different from each other. Forest's albums represent a slower take on the sound pioneered by Transilvanian Hunger, with a touch of Burzum-style ambient atmosphere (no keyboards though). Rundagor, Raven Dark and even some select Branikald albums (early ones) are reminiscent of Transilvanian Hunger however.

The production and vokills on Katharsis' 666 remind me quite a bit of Transilvanian Hunger.

No one has, and no one will ever be able to mimic that album, not even they could do it again.

Nattens Madrigal though is one of the best black metal releases of all time.
