Reading the thread title you can probably already imagine what I'm going to ask...

Are there any other black metal bands with kettle drums like that?

(And I mean black metal, not Summoning!)

Do you mean the timpanis? Or are they the same thing...

Ah, my bad. Well if my memory serves me correctly, there are some sparse kettle drums on Rotting Christ's Non Serviam, but that album isn't incredibly obscure or anything so you may have already heard it.

Hey JG, Abigor are awesome and unique!!
There is no band that I came across that uses timpani with the drums simultaneously but the only band that gives me the same atmosphere and uses timpani is Nokturnal Mortum on the album Goat Horns. You probably already know it and if you like it you know what I mean, but if you don't like it I'd totally recommend giving it a second listen and dig deeper into the atmosphere. From what I remember they use a lot of timpani but only on the tracks that don't have guitar distortion.
Note that I said that they only remind me of Abigor through their atmosphere which could probably be an association that was made at that time through some external factor like looking at the hilly/mountany easter-european landscape in my town. The Abigor albums in my mind are Nachthymnen (From the Twilight Kingdom) and Orkblut.
