All of Eluveitie's new album is in acoustic. Could be something worth looking at. The Cauldron Of Renascence is pretty catchy.

As a die hard Korpiklaani, a say HELL YEAH!

And "Lai Lai Hei" by Ensiferum starts out accoustic, and maybe you could just do the rest in accoustic.

I like a lot of these suggestions.

I know SuidAkrA does quite a bit of acoustic songs. You might want to check them out.

How about some Agalloch from The White EP? I recommend Sowilo Rune and Birch White (if one of your metal buds is into wind instruments Birch White would be ideal, methinks).

Gods on Fire by Korpiklaani.

You're gonna play Disillusion's Reel? Kick-ass. Skywards is a nice acoustic Elvenking tune too, at least besides the crazy outro.

I'll chime in with the rest of the people suggesting the acoustic Blind Guardian songs. They were made for a campfire.

The Loser's Ball by Elvenking would sound AWESOME around a campfire

How could I have forgotten this. Shameless self-promotion sort of but it was made by me! (btw it's not I in the video, I just directed it)

Of the wand and the moon, especially the Sonnenheim album. It would be perfect for camping.

Although Of the Wand and the Moon is not inherently metal, it is really good.

Campfire metal. Haha. The words sadly only bring to mind one Meshuggah song for me, "Futile Bread Machine", the acoustic campfire version of "Future Breed Machine". It's actually a pretty good song though. It would probably be fun to sing.

"Segervisa" from Manegarm's Vredens Tid.

Nomans Land has a song that I always thought would do well, but I can't remember which track it is. It's instrumental though, so it gives you guys room to improvise some drunken lyrics I suppose. It is either "At the Feast of Odin" or "Ale" on the album Hammerfrost.

I would recommend Fejd, for sure. 'I En Tid Som Var.' or 'Huldran' would be quite fitting, and from what I've heard of it, 'Storm,' would also work nicely.

It's the best indeed. Maybe Blind Guardian's Lord of the Rings too and Amorphis - My Kantele (Acoustic version, it has drums but try it without)

but I like it :D it cracks me up everytime I listen to it, and IMO it sounds much better than the actual Boney M song.

Nordavind by Storm, even if the lyrics are in Norwegian.
It shouldn't be too difficult to play with acoustic guitar, as it's mainly metallized folk songs.

Some tracks from Isengard's Høstmørke could also be good, played acoustically.

The Bard's Song and Harvest of Sorrow of Blind Guardian
The Islander of Nightwish
Some stuffs from the new acoustic Elvenking album could be played at acoustic guitar around a campfire too
Forever of Stratovarius

But forever The Islander of Nightwish is for me the greatest song to play on a campfire

No No no..... don't be a dick. White people often have that deep down urge to revel around the pyre like the pagan days. It's not something to be laughed at. :)

For some reason I think the first Rainbow album would suit this kind of vibe, I'm not sure why though.
