glad to hear that. i liked their material on the mammoth grinder split a LOT, particularly the addition of rahi's vocals instead of the chick vocals.

Listening to some fucking GAF again. This band is addictive as hell, and you guys should give them a listen or 300.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDohaFqUnnM <--- Go on and tell me this song is not a fucking MASTERPIECE!

Can anybody recommend some really filthy Gore/Pornogrind? I'm thinking Rompeprop, Spasm, The Day Everything Became Nothing, Lymphatic Phlegm - these are pretty much all I have in this style. Looking for highly distorted, groovy riffs with truly disgusting gurgles. Spasm-esque mankinis are a bonus ;)

awesome, bro, i'm into this type of stuff too. definitely have to check out Cock and Ball Torture, Torsofuck, maybe Cemetery Rapist (not really gurgling but the riffs are fucking amazing), & Sikfuk is pretty rad too. check out some General Surgery and older GUT too.

Well, if you liked Spasm, you should check out the whole czech goregrind scene. I think of Jig-Ai, Negligent Collateral Collapse, Destructive Explosion of Anal Garland, Eardelete, and the almighty Ahumado Granujo, kings of goregrind. Period.

Also, you can take a look at Turning Paralysis (Czech style), and Inopexia (Putrefaction in Progress-era LDOH copy).

New song from Hatred Surge

Sounds WAY more straightforward than Deconstruct.

Cephalic Carnage - Anomalies and Xenosapien: Varied tech grind with a wealth of different influences. Though, I'm sure you've heard of them

Crowpath - Son of Sulphur: Some of the most unique and creative drumming I've ever come across on a grind album. Not too many blastbeats as I can recall, but a truly off the wall, and creative performance.

Antigama - Warning and Resonance: In a word, insane. Again, extremely varied drumming with tempos almost verging on mathcore here.

Insect Warfare- World Extermination. Best grindcore album since Pig Destroyer's Prowler in the Yard.

Pig Destroyer- Prowler in the Yard. Disgusting, crazy, amazing riff work, some of my favorite drumwork; perfect. Must listen. Outside the box of grindcore with attention to guitarwork, imagery, atmosphere and crazy vocals.

Looking For an Answer- Eterno Treblinka. Death metal influenced grind that's super heavy and powerful. Animal rights ethos like Cattle Decap.

Afgrund-Vid Helvetets Grindar. ploished grindcore with catchy and memorable guitarwork, great vocals, and dynamic songwriting.

Swarrrm- Nise Kyuseishu Domo. As crazy and multi-faceted as grindcore gets. one of my favorite bands. Vocals are completely insane, guitarowkr jumps from grind to jazzy and melodic. the drumwork is top notch and jazz influenced. If you could only listen to one recomendation I'd suggest this.

Thanks for the suggestions guys (Sorry for the late reply) Really amazing bands! My favs were Pig Destroyer, Cephalic Carnage and Crowpath, but all the others were very insane as well, what a way to start with the grind! Thanks again :-D

Finally. Some grind. I don't get how people name Cephalic Carnage as grindcore. Just as Hatred Surge/Nails..Which are both hardcore.

Yeah, we talk about some hardcore and not-as-grind-as-other-grind in this thread as well. As for Warsore, they're awesome. Actually, I'm listening to Brutal Reprisal right now!

Anyone listen to the Suffering Mind/Protestant split yet? Pretty cool stuff. As soon as TLAL's store is open I'm gonna have to order me a copy.

Yeah, this is just a thread for all things short, fast and loud. I'm sure it would have been renamed by now if Gravemarker still came around, if that eases your pain any.

Dude, grindcore IS punk. What the fuck are you talking about. Grind is not blasting per se.

yea yea grindcore steams from punk. go take a listen to it. I didn't hear anything that specifically pushed it into grindcore territory. There is still a difference between punk and grindcore though they have the same roots. grindcore kinda needs some blasting to be considered grindcore. I didn't say it needed to totally be blasting. you are reaching and streaching what I stated so you can make a piss poor arguement against plain fact.

You saying that grindcore needs blasting to be grindcore is no fact. I'm not referring to the band earlier, but in general. But yes, it is grindcore. If you don't consider this grindcore, you pretty much rule out a lot of the early Napalm Death as grindcore. Never mind, this is a useless discussion. I think that it doesn't matter what I say, cause you think you are right anyway. Besides, grindcore has no fucking rules.

I kid, but seriously, it's hard to really call a band grindcore if the music lacks a blastbeat of some shape or form. I think the only other trope that could push the music into grind territory is if it gets especially noisy or sloppy due to loose rhythms, but a lot of hardcore, crust, and even industrial share that quality, and those genres are obviously not grindcore.

In other news, crank dat Arsedestroyer

the self titled is actually on cd... found it on amazon for 6 bucks.

teenage ass revolt.... found it on ebay for like 13 bucks.... sealed.

I was extremely extremely lucky to find both and that no one else was looking for them. I've never used discogs/even been there.

Ah gotcha. I'm gonna check around for those, as well as some of the Warsore stuff I don't have. As for Discogs, it's a good site for when you want to find a certain pressing of an album; definitely helpful.

EDIT: Found a Teenass Revolt 12" on Amazon for $13, score!

Haha, mine came Saturday too, interestingly enough. Too bad I slept in too long and had to wait until today to get it. But the dude threw in four free splits and two issues of his zine. So no complaints. Also, my copy is still sealed. Good shit.

Does yours say "Teenass Rebellion" on it? I haven't done much research to find out if that's how the album comes anyways, but it seemed a bit fishy. Anyways, mine came sealed too, thankfully. Plays well too, so I guess that's all I could ask for! Which splits did you get?
