Hello, I am looking for some martial industrial with similarity to artists like Arditi, Triarii, March of Heroes, Toroidh, Land. I know most artists deal with warfare hence the term 'martial', but the neoclassical/dark ambient atmosphere particularly in "Opuscule - Mémoires de Jules B. (1917 - 1924)" by Land; "Offensiv!" by Toroidh and the aggressive martial rhythm and classical instrumentation of "Omne Ensis Impera" by Arditi and "March For Glory" by March of Heroes are good examples of what I am looking for.

Yeah, so as a summary I am looking for martial industrial based on WWI or WWII themes or anything near to those time periods, that either fuses with dark ambient like Land OR sticks to the basic style of pounding drums and classical music seen in Arditi and Triarii. Below are some links to the former and latter. You'll probably notice some NS imagery, so I am sorry about that if you are offended!

Dark Ambient style:
Land - Néo-noir http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIfKNd--Qq4
Toroidh - The Return Of Yesterday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl96etFHQug

Martial Industrial:
Triarii - Imperivm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6WeU2vg0KQ&feature=related
Arditi - Nicht mehr Schande http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPhPAzMqbAQ&feature=relmfu
Arditi - Decisive War http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIX1SKusfOg
March of Heroes - March For Glory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kop4CH_D62I
Legionarii - Europa Nazione http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjtYWfA2C2w

You can't go wrong with Predella Avant, well they are mainly neoclassical with martial industrial touches but they really give you a military feeling (especially medieval warfare). I know you wanted stuff with focus on the world wars, but I think you will like it anyway. Anyway here are some samples http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcE3i9x17Uo, this is actually one of their more martial industrial songs. And here are some more newclassical ones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J83CX-5DtsE, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJV7f7lr ... re=related.

Laibach's Opus Dei has a lot of military styled industrial.

Yeah, I'm going to second Karjalan Sissit. They're awesome. And they mix in a bunch of old-timey Finnish songs from the 30's and 40s'.

Prior to looking up Arditi just now, I'd never listened to any Martial Industrial stuff, other than perhaps unbeknownst to me during a movie soundtrack. Very interesting stuff. So, thanks for the tip. I've learned something new that I kind of like. It probably helps a lot that I'm a huge war movie buff and am a huge fan of Hail Of Bullets and a few other similar war-themed bands. Interesting genre/sub-genre that I never knew existed before now. :)

I only discovered this genre about 3 months ago and Arditi was the first project I listened to, the track Sons of God to be specific. I cannot even describe the feeling inside me when I heard this great music for the first time. It sounds very... hmmmm grandiose, triumphant but really dark and brooding as well. Another project very similar to Arditi is Triarii. I recommend listening to The Final Legion which is a really great track.

There is an interesting quote from the booklet of Arditi's Omne Ensis Impera which I'd like to share.

"We sing the praise of war. Not for the way it makes people die, but for the way it makes people come alive”

Now that is what I call a quote!

How many of these bands are national socialist/neo fascist? Not that it really matters to me, but Legionarii and Triarii seems to be sending out a very distinct message. Definitely some Statist themes at least.

Why ask if it doesn't matter?

All of them are, so be afraid.

Maybe of interest regarding the issue above:

„Muse in Arms (album title) is dedicated to all narrow-minded People, to all those who are afraid of asking Questions and those who are even more afraid of receiving Answers. Art is never only left or right, nor is it only black and white. Life is not that simple!“
– Triarii

btw - I wonder why Les Joyaux De La Princesse hasn't been mentioned yet... It's not pounding and marching-like like Predella Avant, Triarii etc. but very brooding and just a bit "other" (imo). The music differs quite a lot from album to album, at one time going for more noise at other times more accessible, "melodic".

Cold Fusion's "Simmetria" album is worth a try, too:

also Across The Rubicon might work:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlHTUpTmYNk

Les Effet C'est Moi is also very good but I guess it will be a bit too neoclassical for you.
However they do have some strongly marching tracks, too. Alas without any explict WW1/2 stuff going on.

fascism, nationalism, totalitarianism and futurism are common themes in martial industrial. Although it's interesting to note March of Heroes seems to focus on the Russian eastern front, so maybe that guy likes communism? But this genre in general is usually politically motivated and although I couldn't care much for these ideologies, I think it gives the music a distinct aura and sense of purpose (doubt that makes any sense though, but if you listen to NSBM like Fanisk and Absurd it has that same feel to it). Of course there are still many projects that have nothing to do with politics, I do not know any at present except from Land. Although I'm sure there are plenty of examples above that I will need to check out.

I would disagree - in my experience out-and-out NS sympathies a la NSBM are pretty rare. It exists, no doubt about it, but I think you might be suprised just how many in the neofolk/martial scene are actually queer uniform fetishists, history nerds or actually quite leftist in outlook. Plus there is a healthy dose of irony and situationalist manipulation in a lot of this stuff.

Yeah, in Industrial music in general there's a tendency to use totalitarian and militaristic imagery in an ironic way. When it comes to Martial Industrial, there's a bit of everything: anarchist bands (Militia), communist bands (March Of Heroes), fascist bands (Spreu & Weizen) and apolitical bands (Blood Axis, Toroidh).

Plenty of great bands have already been mentioned in this thread, so I'll add some more:

Puissance
Striider
Atomtrakt
Auswalht
Waffenruhe
Sala Delle Colonne
Phragments
Leidungr
I.R.O.N.
BloodSoil

There's a post just above you that tells you there is one: March of Heroes. I had a look recently, too, and it's OK I guess.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LY_nF-11lKQ

Thing is, I'm not entirely convinced it's Marxist-Leninist; this is decidedly Soviet nostalgic, rather. It's kinda like the reason why Stalin is considered not ENTIRELY a bad guy in Russia - because he represents an era when Russia was a powerful, all-encompassing empire. Nothing to do with Marxist-Leninist ideology, really. IMO, March of Heroes is National Bolshevik.

How about Front Sonore? I'm not really sure about them, but some stuff looks marxist-leninist (some stuff more anarchist.)
