Gris are usually classified as having the best vocalist in that particular movement. To be fair, Icare is a fantastic vocalist.

Gehenna is spot on here. Also you should give a listen to The Jilemnice Occultist by Master's Hammer though this one is quite atypical.

From Quebec alone, I'd say Annatar is a better vocalist.

try Krohm. Either of his full lengths you should like containing pretty standard black metal vocals.

EDIT: And for me, I'm looking for some black metal that is mildly or heavily influenced by "brutal death metal" or vice-versa. Something like Bloodbath meets Taake or some fairly unique combination of brutal death and black metal. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for some more BM in the typical style of the raw Finnish BM school. Think of bands like Horna, Sargeist, Prevalent Resistance and Satanic Warmaster. I know Behexen, but I could never really got into them. So what I'm looking for is BM in this style, with the emphasis on kick-ass riffs. Preferably decent production, but not necessary. I kinda like the dry sound most of the aforementioned bands produce.

Just checked them out, but there was only the 97 demo on the myspace which sounded way too thin. Will check out some other releases. Just noticed they participated with the Crushing the Holy Trinity series, which is positive.

Well, for the 90's reference and the seemingly obviously one I'd have to say Obtained Enslavement - Witchcraft, it's extremely brilliant especially with Pest on vocals. I'd almost describe their keyboard/guitar melodies as elegant plus the fact that there are no records of cheese tainting it.

The not so obvious one is a rather enigmatic band that sounds like Emperor's in the nightside eclipse somewhat: Zargof - Departure for the Cosmic Twilight from Brazil. Link to one of their songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYSqf4vi-wA the downside is they only have one lone EP, but it's great regardless.

I'm looking for some black metal with tons of celtic frost/hellhammer worship, similar to Darkthrone's A Blaze in the Northern Sky and Panzerfaust.

I'm looking for some black metal bands that incorparate tons of 80s heavy metal and doom metal influence in their songs. I already some bands that fit this bill in one way or another which are GBK and Vlad Tepes at times. I know and care little for black metal most of the time so please don't assume I know the classics.

Check out the first two Craft albums. The simply ooze tons of Celtic Frost moments filtered through a filthy Swedish lens.

Would someone be able to reccomend any groups that are in the vein of 'Paganblut' whose guitar melodies and leads are mainly written under the influence of capturing the feel of "classic" Nationalistic songs and marches that were composed during and for the era of the Third Reich. Nationalistic melodic guitar lines are what im mainly after, the below Paganblut song captures this essence satisfactorily. Vocally, i would prefer bands that use a similar vocal style to what is found on 'Branikald - Triumph Of The Will', but this does not take priority over before mentioned guitar lines and riff structures.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBSVNfExdZ8

With the below Wolfenhords track, i don't know of the origins/influence of the main "march" melody, however it is certainly a good indicator as to the type of NSBM sound i am in search of.

@GhostlyGloom:
Obtained Enslavement - I already have Witchcraft, but for some reason or another, never got around to giving it a thorough listen. I'll get to that.

Zargof - Fuck, this is good shit. Thanks.

@into_the_pit: So far, Blood stained dusk sounds pretty good. I'll look into them more, thanks.

@Ohtar_Elenion: I listened to some tracks off of the second spell, and it is really really good. Thanks man.

@Winterkald: I never got around to older Dimmu, even though I've heard for a long time now that its much different than than the newer stuff. But I didn't expect it to be this damn good. Thanks man. It's a shame they didn't keep with their old sound.

@Fialkinn: Limbonic Art sounds pretty good, but at first glance, there is much cheese to be had. Like I said, they seem pretty good, so I'll keep an eye on them. But for now, they don't seem to be what I'm looking for. Thanks though.

Thanks everyone. I'm looking into the others now.

Do it. If you like black metal, that album will make you have multiple orgasms.

Anyway, bands that sound like 'Vikingligr Veldi'-era Enslaved, please?

Yeah, definitely check out these two. I would also strongly recommend Njiqahdda, especially the album Nji. Njiijn. Njiiijn.

I'm looking for black metal in the vein of Shining, but with more traditional black metal styled vocals, a bit more extreme sounding.. unlike Kvarforth's angry grunts..

Musically, a bit more up beat. I don't mind switches here are there to a slower style tempo.. Good production is important to me.

Thematically I'm looking for something similar, very dark, suicidal depressive.. occultism is welcomed too.

Thanks in advance.
