One of my favorite black metal bands is 1349. Their 2009 album “Revelations of the Black Flame” was a change of pace for them and was not well-received by fans at the time. To this day, it’s not that well regarded by fans. They arguably refined the atmosphere of this album on their next album, “Demonoir.” Nonetheless, i have always likes the dark ambient atmosphere that “Revelations” created.

I have not really find another album like it (other than the aforementioned follow-up album). What other bands/albums are out there to check out that have a similar sound/vibe/atmosphere etc.?

Any thoughtful suggestions would be most helpful and appreciated.
