It can be from a gun, a cannon, modern artillery, whatever, it doesn't matter if the BANG! isn't at the very beginning of the song either, it just needs to start with a BANG! and feel cool as shit.

Dehydrated by pestilence my bro as well as leprosy by death

Natasja in eternal sleep immediately envelopes you into the whole atmosphere of the album, dare I say a better opening track than either of the other two in the trilogy

Also cowboys from hell the song is just immediately catchy and just an action packed song in general

Technically none of these start with a cannon or gun actually making a bang sound, but when I think of songs starting off with a bang the most obvious example IMO is "Dead by Dawn" by Deicide.

An underrated gem from an otherwise mediocre band is the song "Regresando Odio" by Asesino, the opening of that song is nasty as hell.

The bang starts at 0:19 (recommended if you like Rainbow)



This one is also a pretty cool song. At 0:08 the bang starts. I think the sounds in the intro are funny. (recommended if you like Iron Maiden).
