Hello everyone!

Today I am asking for recommendations of Blackened Death metal bands with gothic atmosphere, and symphonic/orhcestral pieces with them. I am primarily a fan of gothic metal, but lately I've been listening to a lot of later era Belphegor, because I like how doleful, depressive & hopeless of a sound it has to go along with it's cult atmosphere. However, I think it would be awesome to have a gothic atmosphere, combined with the cult/blasphemous feeling, and the absolute brutal guitars & vocals.

I am already a big fan of all eras of Cradle of Filth, but I am looking for something harder, like Belphegor's blackened death metal, with gothic atmosphere. Like a cross between the albums of Total Fucking Darkness from Cradle of Filth (vocal style & gothic melodies), Abrahadabra from Dimmu Borgir (symphonic additions & atmosphere), & Walpurgis Rite - Hexenwahn by Belphegor (thrashy guitars, very hardcore drumming, & cult atmosphere).

Here's some audio to help get the feel of what I am referring to from these three bands

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO_B6wB8Sis Dimmu Borgir - Renewal ; listen to the symphonic additions & ambient sounds in the background

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK5h4N12NmQ Cradle of Filth -The Raping of Faith (Alternate Version) ; the black/death vocals are pretty in your face & piercing into your soul. Also, the depressing/gothic keyboard melodies are a plus

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riOykB8uB_A Belphegor - Der Geistertreiber ; Although this certainly isn't one of the hardest Belphegor songs, I love the relentless thrashing melodies the guitarists perform. The ambient sounds are also a plus. I also like the cult imagery, and helpless girl in the music video.

I didn't put this in any of the sticky genre specific threads because this a cross genre recommendation that I feel is to specific to be put in one of those threads. I understand this may be too picky of a request, but I will be appreciative of any and all recommendations. Thanks in advance

Lol. I guess I should have specified the bands I've already know of. I actually happen to be a fan of both Graveworm & Hecate Enthroned. I was hoping for something harder than those though. I'll check out Abyssos.

more within the Doom spectrum of things but I think Virgin Black's "Requiem" albums should satisfy your request...
