I have been listening to godflesh's first album Streetcleaner like crazy lately. I'm looking for metal that has the same kind of super pissed off and as people say "nihilistic" emotions. I guess a couple other albums that I could compare it to that I also like a whole lot would be Disciples of Mockery - Prelude to the Apocalypse, Dystopia - Human = Garbage. I love slow, heavy, crushing riffs, but I'm not quite a fan of doom metal unless it has the grimy and "nihilistic" quality. Suggestions don't have to be strictly metal. I'm also a fan of industrial like Whitehouse, SPK, Skinny Puppy, and power electronics in general. I'm also a fan of bands like Swans (early), Flipper, Brainbombs, No Trend. I just like music that gives me the feeling that we're all fucked.

There's probably a lot of sludge metal stuff you'd be into. Leechmilk and Molehill both immediately come to mind. Really hopeless and fucked up sounding stuff. If you like Molehill you'll probably also be into Grief, but I prefer the former.

LEECHMILK:

MOLEHILL:

KICKBACK is also worth looking into. Their earlier stuff is more beatdown-hardcore (with Nietzsche-influenced lyrics), but the newer stuff is very black metal influenced hc. They've covered Brainbombs and recently did a split with Vomir.

Saw thread title. Thought "Godflesh - streetcleaner"

Electric Wizard's dopethrone and specifically funeraloplis is angry and pissed off, the lyrics on the song are incredible
Cloud Rat is about aggressive as vocals get, especially first album. Lyrics are really nihilistic, the members have been through some shit.

You need to try Winter's Into Darkness for some of the most barren stuff I've listened to. And if you're not aware of them, Khanate. It's some seriously disturbing shit!

Eh. I liked leechmilk because of the vocals, but I'm generally not a fan of super simplistic riffs, which is basically what most sludge metal I ever hear is.

Well it seems like you enjoy the misanthropic lyrics so here are two of my favorite songs with misanthropic lyrics;

For Lyrics: http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/naglfar/pariah.html

For Lyrics: http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/naglfar/harvest.html#9

And if you wouldn't mind some Christinaty-hating then there's always Aeon:

I can't find them on youtube, but you might like "Vennt". They put out a s/t 4-track CD that's something like a cross between sludge and minimal PE.

Is Mayhem's "Wolf's Lair Abyss" too obvious?

For fans of early Godflesh...

Spoiler: show

Maybe obvious picks, but that Oakland scene was great...

Spoiler: show
Skaven has a misanthropic vibe similar to Dystopia, I guess. Maybe a bit more apocalyptic-themed than "humanity is fucked", though:

Speaking of Dystopia, Dino joined these guys when they reformed:

Part nihilism, part Bolt Thrower:
