I have about an hour until I have to leave for work; then I'll spend the rest of the night loading metal plates onto a conveyor belt leading into a massive furnace. While this kind of work is totally mind-numbing (as most of you have probably experienced with similar jobs), it requires little concentration and therefore serves as a practical opportunity to lose track of time and explore new music. I've listened to all 15 GB of the music on my hard drive countless times over the past year or so and I'm in need of some bands/albums that I haven't discovered, yet. I don't have any preferences to limit your recommendations- I'm just asking for some exceptionally good metal albums you have recently come across.

Good day :)

While I can understand where you're coming from in terms of the banality in the workplace, I think you'd get some better feedback if you could specify what you're after.

Personally I've been delving more and more out of metal while at work listening to more abstract stuff (drone, ambient, electronic stuff). But that doesn't seem really where you're going with your post (you asked for metal).

That said, maybe some of the newer stuff that's quality and might pique your interest...but again, get more specific!
