Today I was looking around at a local metal store, and found what I believe to be the absolutely worst album cover EVER. Really... it can't get any worse: "She's Smoking Hot!" (even the name is bad), debut album from the american Rainfire.

I agree. The Battleaxe cover, as well as that Syar cover, are both awesome. I just like those cool little hand-drawn covers. They may not be the most professional, but I dunno. I just like 'em. They have charm.

Maybe not a terrible cover but I always find these kinds of cheap and cheesy looking covers from the 70s and 80s to be very amusing. If it wasn't enough already the guitar even has a lightning bolt striking it!

This one often gets on these lists. This monster doesn't look very scary even for a 5 year old. And why is it wearing a hockey helmet, complete with a visor and night vision goggles?

It's their best album though, so the inherent "What the fuck am I looking at?" aspect of this front art gets a pass from me. Still, it's funny just how mid-90s this is.

It is ugly as fuck. Fuck the 90s produced so many awful looking cover art since 3d modelling was the hot new shit. They all look like some really shitty pc/n64 game. In fact Monstrosity has a lot of shitty covers, such as this gem. Only Imperial Doom is good and its made by Seagrave, so it better be

The concept itself isn't terrible, just the color they chose and the logo being so squished like that. That pale green can work well, like if you're showing a dead or infected sky, but it's just a strange eyesore on that album's cover. I also infinitely prefer how the logo looks on Imperial Doom and Millennium as well, where it doesn't look like it's been smushed in a vice.

That cover looks so very oddly familiar to me like I've seen it else where before or even like a deja vu thing. I dunno maybe something I read made me imagine something like that or maybe something from an old ass sci-fi movie or something. Or maybe I'm just crazy...

It reminds me of a stage in one of the old Mortal Kombat games but that's just me.

It does indeed look something like that. I remember someone also posted a video to that old game Nanosaur when that art was brought up.

As for me, I've always just jokingly referred to it as dinosaur eggs next to a Stargate.

They look like eggs, yeah, or watermelons, especially that green one in the back.

The problem isn't that there are rock-textured coloured eggs on sand, but the fact that the graphics are horrible. If it was a nicely done, intricately styled painting with great colour choices, it wouldn't be ridiculous at all, just somewhat odd perhaps.

Nah, Kill's got some good vibes to it. Nothing necessarily ugly or lame about it, but maybe a little underwhelming.

But that crappy Fleshcrawl one reminded me of that band Supuration. Pretty good music on the first album, but then they released this horrid looking thing ten years later. (1993, 2003, 2013, hmmm I see a pattern!)

I think that Cannibal Corpse cover stinks. For a death metal heavy weight one would expect a much better cover. With the gigantic font and nothing on it really, makes me think of nu metal or something.

Not the worst thing since Hitler, but something I was genuinely worried about from the start, even since White Tomb came out.

The music on the album is sharp, rough, but also weirdly beautiful and emotive in places. I guess you could apply "Teethed Glory" to that. I think the artwork perfectly illustrates these sentiments.
