EVIL INVADERS IV ANNOUNCEMENT!

SYDNEY JUNE 8 - 10 2012

10 MORE ACTS TO BE ANNOUNCED!

INQUISITION (USA)

ASSAULTER (NSW)

DEMONREICH (QLD)

CEMETERY URN (VIC)

DENOUNCEMENT PYRE (VIC)

GRENADE (NSW)

DESTRUKTOR (VIC)

RITUALS OF THE OAK (NSW)

MONGRELS CROSS (QLD)

CHAOTIC IMPURITY (NSW)

MANIAXE (VIC)

PLUS 10 MORE ACTS!!!

Anyone who attended Evil Invaders III will, I'm sure, be going again to this next installment, as it was such a great event. Never have I been so proud to be in a pub where so many cows gave up their lives, as it was a sea of black leather and denim. Plus the whole two day gig had a great atmosphere to it, with some killer performances from some great bands, with Hushy providing ample merch. Next years line-up already looks bloody awesome.

So who's keen?

Thinking of going, might have a better look into it closer to tickets going on sale. I haven't been to any yet as I always manage to miss out. Is this at The Stag, too? Nice venue but often there seems to be complications.

Complications with the Stag? I've never noticed any.

so pumped for this, cannot wait to see inquisition! and a stellar line-up so far, looking forward to the rest of the line-up release.

and ive never noticed any problems with the stag either, but i head they might be looking for a slightly bigger venue this time round.

They may need a bigger venue this time around, as the crowd pulled for this one might be little larger. Pity though, I guess, as I liked the Stag, and it was easy to get to.

Here are some bands that were added to the bill yesterday that didn't get a mention in the OP:

Vomitor
Impetuous Ritual
Backyard Mortuary
Vilifier

But yeah, I'm pumped for this show! Evil Invaders III was an excellent two nights and I'm sure that Evil Invaders IV won't fail to deliver. Considering that future university stuff won't get in the way, I won't hesitate for these three nights of awesome metal!

What I would like to see is Nocturnal Graves come back and do a one night stand....

Good to see Impetuous Ritual back on the line-up, they were fuckin' devastating and mesmirising.

Amazing line up. Will be there for sure. Of the bands mentioned I'm not familiar with Demon Reich, Mongrels Cross, Chaotic Impurity, Maniaxe, Backyard Mortuary and Vilifier.

Which of these are worth getting into?

I agree. The Stag is a good venue to watch live music, as I've done a few times, but it's not for massive festivals like this.

I wouldn't mind going. I didn't go to III and I reckon this one will be killer.

I'm gonna try a make the trek across the bor for this. Pretty much the best festival ever for me and i'm kicking myself that i live so far away. Fuck Wacken, Maryland etc. Everything besides the NWN! festival pale.

Inquisition is a great bonus. One of the best black metal acts ever. I believe Trench Hell might play the first night maybe. Also i wouldn't mind if D666 was chosen as another international act. Love that band.

Alright, it seems that's there quite a fair amount of interest from the Australian users about Evil Invaders IV. Methinks that we should organise an Australian Metal Archives get-together at EI4? :)

Oh, and Mikey, I'm with Olio on this one - he doesn't give you enough shit about missing EI III...

Eh, whenever I've been to the Stag there have been problems with sound. I do always have a good time there, so I'm definitely not knocking it!

Hellyeah about Vomitor, that almost seals the deal for me.

Didn't i tell you about Mongrels Cross? I made a thread when their EP was released. The demo should be still around too.

Wouldn't really call this a massive festival, although IV will be a lot bigger than III, the Stag is still a suitable venue. A larger venue like the metro may be too big and you would lose some of the atmosphere that the stag provides when it is near full capacity.

Yeah, the Stag might be a bit too small, but you're right in saying that the atmosphere is awesome when it's full. Long hair, denim and leather everywhere.

Is this a euphemism for "vomiting copiously in the mens room"?

Seeing Vomitor live will be something else...

i have been to the stag quite a few times and only ever seen one sound issue, recently the stag had suicide silence(not that i like them infact they suck but they are a pretty big band) so if the stag can hold that it should be able to hold this festival

Not really. EI4 will have larger, hairy punters. Big beer guts, and jackets too. That'll make up more volume haha.

Mongrels Cross, Maniaxe and perhaps Vilifier are worth getting into. Maniaxe fucking slayed at Forbidden's show in Sydney, despite being somewhat retro-gay.

I think Chaotic Impurity is composed of various old ultra kvlt demo bands (infinite black, nomenclature diablerie, probably a few others) and despite their popping up on various lineups havn't released anything to date.

Backyard Mortuary didn't impress me that time i saw them, some people love them though.

Oh shit, didn't see Maniaxe were playing. I'm definitely going, then. If only because I've been meaning to have a beer with the drummer for awhile, haha.

You also forgot about Johnny Touch and Astriaal. So that makes one more black metal band playing and in total three Damon Good bands. And if Inquisition aren't even the headliners, then who the hell are? The suspense is killing me!

I dig the JT demo, they'll rock out for sure.

Need to give Astriaal another chance.

Nice bump. And I'm going to be putting myself in the confused as hell group if Inquisition aren't the headliners. This could be shaping up to be fucking HUGE.

Awesome

yeah, really excited to hear who the main headliner is, if its not inquisition. but also, inquisition are still headliners as such, theyll no doubt headline one of the nights, while the still to be announced band will headline the other night. but this is shaping up to be massive, too bad its so far away haha

Awesome line up but if Inquistion doesn't do any shows here in Melbourne, I'll go up there for sure.
Anyone in Melbourne wanna do a road trip?
