New album from Doom:vs that would feature Thomas Akim Grønbæk Jensen from Saturnus.

Anybody else a fan of Doom:vs? For me, Johan Ericsson is a very underrated musician and love both his albums that he has done with Doom:vs. Loved his debut album "Aeternum Vale", anybody else a fan?

Not sure of the release dates or album artwork yet.

Tracklisting:
1.EARTHLESS
2.A QUIETLY FORMING COLLAPSE
3.WHITE COFFINS
4.THE DEAD SWAN OF THE WOODS
5.OCEANS OF DESPAIR
6.THE SLOW ASCENT

The first album was amazing, an intense and very dark doom metal, or pehaps I should say funeral doom metal. The second one was very interesting too though it received worse reviews because of the use of some clean vocals, anyway I liked it very much so I expect another great album from this excellent musician!

I had read a while ago on Johan's FB page that he was finalizing the album to be released this year. Glad to hear that it's up and running, finally! It's about time he releases something after five years in the making.

Both albums are pretty awesome, and although they bear enormous similarities they also have big differences between each other. The clean vocals on the sophomore are one, but also its more melodic and better flowing rhythm is something that makes it just marginally better than the debut. The debut is pretty dreary and harsher, with a bigger feeling of a desolate waste, while the second feels slightly more organic. The lyrics are pretty great too, they talk a lot about inner turmoil and fighting your inner thoughts and demons. Anyone into death/doom with a funeral and gothic influences should definitely check them.

^^^ What androdion said, about 100%. I wish I could add more, but I really quite agree. Though I'm more torn about which album is best, I do agree about everything said about the differences. They're both great for different reasons.

Anyway, this is pretty much my all-time favorite funeral doom project and I'd been checking up on it from time to time. Under-rated musician indeed. Very excited about this release.
