Band statement:
We are proud to announce that we have signed a record deal with Cyclone Empire. We were searching for a label with lots of dedication and a great heart and we think may have found that in Cyclone Empire. Ereb Altor will not follow any fucking trends, we will create only pure music directly from the heart and Cyclone will help us to release quality products. The norse Gods have guided us to our new family within the Empire and we sure have a good feeling about it.

Label statement:
Hailing from Gefle (Gävle), the eldest town in Norrland, Ereb Altor are the newest members of the Cyclone Empire hordes. As Ereb Altor are a already a well known force in the metallic underground scene, most metalheads should already be aware of their breathtaking hymns full of power and might somewhere between viking, doom and black metal always in praise of Swedish godfather Thomas Börje Forsberg (better known as Quorthon) and his musical heritage. After already three fantastic albums the three warriors Mats, Ragnar and Tord are now laying final hands on their fourth masterpiece, Fire Meets Ice. Be pepared for a release in the coming months.

Well the label is cool in that they've got lots of cool bands, but on the other hand they're expensive so it makes my wallet cry.

Good for them I guess, I don't think they will wimp out even if the label hosts bands like 40 Watt Sun.

Well 40 Watt Sun didn't wimp out due to the label, they wimped out hard from the get go.

What's going on? How did 40 Watt Sun wimp out?

Here's hoping that Fire Meets Ice won't be s poor release like Gastrike was.

By being 150% wimpy at all times.

I thought Gastrike was good, totally different to their other stuff, but nice epic black metal.

Wow, just listened to a few songs from Gastrike. What a change that was from their previous two albums. Nothing wrong with it at all just wasn't expecting that much of a change.

Good luck to these guys with Cyclone Empire.

Have to say, I was't the biggest fan of Gastrike. In fact, it was a downright disappointment to me, considering their previous style.

Have to agree with Balor here, I did enjoy Gastrike but if was far removed to what came before and not as unique sounding and I found me listening to the earlier albums alot more. The first two albums were well executed Bathory worship and one of the better around. I think this style is to make a comeback and the new release... (I hope!)

A mix of the harsher, blacker elements of Gastrike and the epic atmosphere of The End and By Honour would be awesome. I can't really remember the sample of the new album, and it seems to have been removed from their myspace page, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

EDIT: lol, never mind, I tracked down my reply to the song in the older thread. Yeah, this new album should be something else alright.

I liekd Gastrike as well, but indeed I think the best direction they could pull would be black/doom oriented viking metal. There was a sample in January I can't find now. Anyone got it?
