I really like The Laws of the Scourge, excellent mix of prototypical black metal, thrash metal and death metal

I just saw that Rotting is classed as an EP in Metal-Archives. Was it always this way? I thought it was a full-length.

Anyway, MalignantTyrant is right: The Laws of Scourge is pretty great. Haven't listened to it in a while, but I remember enjoying it more than I.N.R.I.. I haven't heard the last 2 albums.

Sarcofago is my go-to band for the black/death/thrash style in general. I.N.R.I. never gets old and the laws of scourge is a fine album. The only song I really like off of Hate is orgy of flies. If I remember, Hate had an annoying drum machine.

INRI and Laws of Scourge are classics, the latter being my introduction to the band after a few years of adoring the infamous picture of the band with the mohawk, inverted crosses, and looking like they didn't give a fuck. Awesome band

i found a copy of each inri and rotting but the dumb arse seller could answer me when i asked if they were originals or not.
instead of saying "sorry man i don't know" he chose to just not respond, an interesting way to sell cds :nono:

Not my favorite Sarcofago release, but the Crust EP doesn't get enough attention. Killer drum-machine driven black/death.

I've seen EP's as long, and LP's shorter, *shoots accusing glances at BTBAM and GridLink*

EP's can go for longer, I've seen. Anyway, it's all semantics: Rotting is cool. :D

i'd call it an album even without all this info

According to Wagner on Headbangers Ball in 1990, "Rotting" is a mini-LP, not a full-length album.

Obviously a cool band, but i don't dig them as much as most.

I like the early demos the best. Wish that material would get a proper release.

Stop yelling, and using post primary school education grammar might help a bit. Having said that though, stick around, and keep posting like this and it's almost guaranteed to go away.

Just sayin'...

On topic, I have always liked and revered I.N.R.I, and for good reason, but never bothered to check out other releases (apart from a Sex, Drinks and Metal bootleg...). Maybe I should give The Laws Of Scourge a go.

There is no really bad album from Sarcófago. Worst is my least listened album so maybe that's on the bottom.

Crust EP will grind down all the faggots.

Same here. The importance of I.N.R.I. can't be denied and all, but for me, Laws of Scourge is a better album, the bonus tracks are killers also, Crush Kill Destroy is awesome.

Hirax's second full length is 16:00 minutes in length.

I've only listened to I.N.R.I. and the song fuck melodic black metal or whatever and it is pretty sick. Great band.

I agree that 'The Laws of Scourge' is a great album. 'I.N.R.I.' is my go-to album when I need a Sarcofago fix, though. It's just so raw, dirty, and classic.

Concerning the case of "Rotting" being an EP: I think there is an interview with Antichrist where he says it is a mini-album, probably because the last song "Nightmare" already appeared on their debut.
@OP for Sarcofago, in addition to the official stuff, I think these audio/video bootlegs require your immediate attention:
1985 - Live at Metal-BH II
1986 - Nights in Hell (Live)
1987 - Live at the Tormentor Fest

Never really got into them that much but I do quite enjoy listening to I.N.R.I, for me seems a quite ahead of it's time that aside I like Rotting's version of Nightmare more so than the one on I.N.R.I.
I must point out that I find the homoerotic art cover on Rotting quite amusing.
