I just found out yesterday. Titled "The Witchhunt". To be released in about three weeks on the 27th. I'm quite stoked. Not many people talk about their 21st century body of work or ever even heard it, but I think they are still as strong as they were on the legendary first two albums. Here's all I currently know about the new album, the information that is given on Metal Archives:

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ma ... unt/383448

If anyone knows if there is any advance track on YouTube, please link it here, can't wait to hear new material!!

I got the promo recently, I'll listen to it. There's no reasons that this will suck.

And after 2 songs, it really doesn't!

Sounds like it's basically going to be the same album again for about the fourth time in a row...

...the same really, really good album, that is.

Looking forward to it, for sure. One of the bands who really helped me appreciate what death metal can do.

Paul's Death Strike set at Kill Town Death Fest in Copenhagen this past weekend was awesome.

Master is as consistent as they come.

I already love the production. A little lo-fi, but totally fitting. On "The New Elite" the sound was overly compressed and sounded a little too modern for the style they were playing. But the music is very similar, which is a good thing.

Not exactly the same. Slaves to Society was a little heavier on the single-string tremolos, which at times made it almost "melodic" by Master standards, and The Human Machine had occasional hardcore breakdowns especially in the first few songs, which took some getting used to but were charming in a way. The New Elite was a lot more stripped down again. I expected the new one to have a little distinguishing feature of its own as well.

so this is another thrashy sounding master album?
I find it kind of ironic that Master sounds more thrashy than ever recently while when they started they just sounded punk and not really thrash at all.

I was aware of the first one, but its release completely slipped by me. Gonna have to seek that out.

Have you listened in its entirety yet and if so, what's your initial takeaway?

Awesome to see such productivity from them. Paul Speckmann shared it on his Facebook quite a few weeks ago already. And Master have never released a bad album, I'm very sad at how little recognition they get overall. I'd point to them as being just as instrumental to death metal as Death was. Fuckin' Death Strike, that was death/thrash in 1984-1985, when Ride The Lightning just came out, to give it some perspective.

I think this one is an improvement over the one before. There's a bit more variety.

Paul should do vocals on the next Autopsy album, if there is one.
