 As the title says, De Magia Veterum is one of Mories' multiple projects (He also does Gnaw Their Tongues, Aderlating...) and is one of my favorite bands. I've never seen it mentioned in the forums, anybody else expecting the new album? thoughts on the band? Man DMV are one crazy band. I dig their relentless abrasiveness though most of the time it just whizzes by before I can make sense of it. Gotta go listen to The Divine Antithesis a couple more times. And I suppose I am somewhat interested in this new album. |

Eschatological Scatology was good, althought it sounds more like a De Magia Veterum album than a Gnaw Their Tongues album, it has more sthraight-forward metal elements than previous GTT albums in my opinion. |

I've only just gotten The Divine Antithesis, it's pretty great, I don't have enough time to digest it properly before this new one rolls on in. |

I've been liking TDA a lot lately, and to some extent, Migdal Bavel as well. Those sound like some cool song titles (as usually is the case with Maurice's titles). |

Here's the preview track (presumably "Shall Not Take Form") http://soundcloud.com/aboydom/de-magia-veterum-new-untitled Apparently the dynamism that The Divine Antithesis had has been interchanged for a more dominant avant-garde sound, very atmospheric. The quality is top-notch, really interesting, you just can't predict to where "M" is going. |

Checked out this band because of this thread and well, they seem right up my alley. I got Migdal Bavel and its pretty awesome; super chaotic and dissonant with a keen sense of underlying melody in some of the songs. Really riveting, thoughtful stuff. Also dig the artwork as well. Haven't gotten to hear The Divine Antithesis yet but this new track sounds excellent. |

I see. I haven't heard it yet, though I will soon. EDIT: Is it just me, or are the songs on the TC website glitchy as hell? (not in the good way though lol) EDIT2: Never mind, it was just me. The album's sounding pretty neat so far. Not as downright hellish as TDA though. |

Well, the new album is officially out, it's only con imo is that is rather short, besides that, a really worth sucesor. |

And then, just 8 days later this one is released, Cloak of Altering (Another Mories' project) releases a new album, titled "Ancient Paths Through Timeless Voids" will this man ever run out of ideas? |
