Fuck yes new incantation fucking wins. It sounds exactly like Incantation!! Perfect.

If I had any complaint it's a bit too clean sounding on the guitars. But otherwise perfect.

All naysayers are obvious tryhards. lol on you fools.

The song might grow on me, but the first impression wasn't very good. The hooks are there, for sure, but that just sounded too..... Let's call it "common". Solid, but faaaaaaar too regular and safe, even for Incantation, who aren't precisely known for being the most creative band ever.

I honestly don't get this regular and safe.... Incantation has always been consistently the same band over and over. To expect any different is a failure on the listener. If it was anything different from what I just heard I would've been disappointed.

and yea dread... I was actually a bit shocked that they were as clean as they were.

I figured the rest of the album will have this same production.

Quality death metal from well-versed pros. This is what it is and that is excellent. Sure, no re-inventing the wheel here but if anyone expects that from this band they are confused. I happen to also like the production just fine. Looking forward to this, as Incantation is one of just a few bands in this style that keeps me interested and that I find enjoyable. When you get it done this well, there's really nothing worth complaining about.

I haven't heard the song, but I've already made the decision that I'll be buying this. :metal:

Fuck pre-ordering. I've been burned one too many times by doing that. It'll hit shelves in stores here for sure. I'll pick it up when it does. :)

It's less about supporting the stores and more about getting stuff in good time. :) Either way, though, Vanquish in Vengeance is definitely one I'll be buying.

I'm not saying I expected anything different. I'm saying that the songwriting felt phoned in and rather boring. Still does actually, after more listens.

That bass break leading into the guitar leads was really cool, actually. Seems this is the sixth track on the album, which means it'll probably kick off side B of the album; great placement for a song like this if you ask me.

Its not album of the year material or anything, but its better than I expected based on the title track. File this alongside Asphyx and Cannibal Corpse in the "Classic death metal band releasing album that doesn't do anything new but is really good for its style".

If you're right, it's a great shame. Incantation was always leagues above Cannibal Corpse to me, and while Asphyx seems to be very much loved here, I've always considered Incantation a much more interesting band. They never completely reinvented themselves - perhaps that has been slowing them down in the last six years.

Yea to me when classic bands like that release something... I don't expect anything brand new from them. Just the same quality writing as I would've always expected. Unlike some other bands that rather disappoint...

No need for innovation from Incantation. They deliver exactly what I expect and need to listen.

Not trying to be the heathen here, but it wouldn't really kill them to go on a different direction. Not saying they should completely revamp their sound or anything, but more like Incantation should try to experiment and play around with their sound a bit. For instance, there is A Once Holy Throne off Blasphemy, a surprisingly melodic, towering monolith of a song with a great sense of build up which is quite the anomaly regarding Incantation's disco. Wouldn't mind hearing more of that or even, say, a few tracks that tinker with black metal sensibilities a bit.

I love it. As said above they need not re-invent the wheel. Their brand is excellent and this album reflects that quite well. I have no problem with this release and rather enjoy it.

See if you can manually pay them from Paypal [need their email address probably] inside the USA should be ok, I'd never do that from here though.
