this is on the back of the cd

ERMI Music PO Box 31-B
6809 AW, Zevedulven
Netherlands

i can't find this label anywhere or even any reference to them online :annoyed:
does anyone have any photos or scans of Once Dead - Vengeance Rising ?
discogs only lists the cassette and musik sammler doesn't list ERMI Music http://www.musik-sammler.de/album/108404
this one on ebay looks totally different http://www.ebay.com/itm/150842311481
so does this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/180640228152

this thing looks quite cheap and crappy but you never can tell aye...
i'll get some scans/photos up here when it's not like 10:30pm sunday night - movie time

I've checked: there is no place in the Netherlands called Zevedulven, and the postal code 6809 AW does not exist.

Ah, "Once Dead," the first "extreme metal" album I ever listened to, back when I was 14 or 15. Still kind of a classic in my eyes.

ok thanks man, i'll add it as an unofficial release, at least now if anyone looks for it they'll find this thread and the release page.

bootlegging/counterfeiting scumbags :annoyed:
the album is really good though so i'll possibly grab a real copy one day [too]

According to Discogs guidelines, you should still add the label, even if it's fabricated for that one release.

But then also have "Unofficial Release" in the format field, and make a note that it is a bootleg and a fabricated company (there are plenty of fake "Rough Trade" records, for instance, but the bootlegs that use that label name still must be grouped as "Rough Trade (2)" in the label field, which denotes them as bootlegged items, and also groups [and conveniently links] them all together on their own page of other fake Rough Trade records... In the end, it's actually more beneficial to people by bringing focus to them because it makes the boots easier to sniff out).

Even if it's clear that it has never officially existed anywhere, the Discogs mods are pretty particular about these things.
It will not fool anyone to put the label in, just so long as you specify it's unofficial in the format and notes.

There is no CD-sign "disc"on the CD-label, which may indicate a bootleg. This CD-sign is mandatory and has to be printed on each CD on behalf of Philips (inventor of the CD). If this is missing, then chances are high that this is a bootleg.

Is there a chance its a name the band invented to self release the record? Such as Motley Crues Leathur Records, or Def Leppards Bludgeon Riffola?

@Terri23: i highly doubt it, the disc itself is quite poorly made and the artwork etc is also not well done, it's obviously burned too as it's green not silver [sorry about the scans]

@peterott: yeah that logo is missing, not sure i entirely agree though, most cds don't have that these days that i've seen, older ones do though.

hopefully ermi is reading this from prison... ha ha

The same for me, though I was younger.

Actually it's kind of suprising this cd has been bootlegged, since it's pretty easy to get.

Is "ERMI" the hesitant version of EMI?
