Christopher Lee has another Charlemagne album coming out, and released a single for it at the end of May, 'Let Legend Mark Me as the King.' Samples are on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Let-Legend-Mark-M ... 4&sr=301-1 and longer ones on iTunes. No symphonic elements this time, just heavy metal. Richie Faulkner wrote the majority of the album before joining Judas Priest.

Awesome news! Wasn't exactly enthralled by the first album, but it's cool he's still working with this.

Edit: The samples sound pretty good! Simple, how I like my heavy metal.

Nice. After checking out the decent but not particularly heavy debut, I wasn't surprised Charlemagne were rejected from the Archives. After hearing the new samples, sounds to me like they'll get on here after all.

Samples are surprisingly good, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Christopher Lee's vocals would fit a heavy metal album. Not sure about that album art though. Hopefully it's just a placeholder?

i think it's delightfully corny and fits the music very well in not taking itself too seriously

Awesome! Nothing but respect for Sir Christopher. The samples sound better than the last one.

While listening to these samples, the image of Saruman dancing around naked on top of Isengard and singing flitted across my mind's eye, his white beard and hair aflutter in the wind, his old man chesticles jiggling about. I'm not sure if I appreciate that.

Nonetheless, I liked the music.

If this does get him on the archives, Christopher Lee will be the oldest metal musician!

Nothing but respect for Christopher Lee. This even sounds surprisingly epic! Definitely going to check this one out. Saruman on vocals? Yes please!

Didn't like the debut album, although these new samples sound surprisingly good. Heard a couple of delightfully meaty riffs here and there, and of course, Sir Cristopher's voice is as imposing and powerful as ever. Will try to keep track of this.

On this new album, does Christopher Lee shed the blood of not just one, but 4000 Saxon men? I will not settle for anything less.

The last album was pretty sucky. I expect more of the same, to be honest. I'll listen to the samples later, but it's interesting that he trying to do a second one.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnfarrell ... avy-metal/ Interview here about Christopher's career, the single and the album. The end of the video says that there is a limited edition vinyl on the Charlemagne Productions website, could this be submitted to Metallum based off that?
