Maybe it's what he enjoys. Hell more power to him for doing shit he enjoys doing. You don't have to listen to his stuff if you don't like it. I've never heard of the guy till I looked him up. I don't like it but I guess he likes it somehow.

He's an interesting fellow for sure, I did an interview with him awhile back. You can read it here if interested:

His stuff is okay. There are far worse one man projects out there.

I've never actually heard his music, but I've always had a soft spot for one man projects who keep on trucking despite all the shit thrown at them; and looks like he's gotten a lot of it. Kudos to him.

That's a very good argument...

I guess I could let this thread open since it could lead to a serious discussion about him and his projects. I'll watch the threads closely though. havoc00, don't reply with these kind of comments or I'll lock it.

I listened to a few songs from various projects this guy has done and it seems odd. He obviously has some really stream of consciousness type stuff which I found completely awful with odd choices of sample, but then the one Chainsaw Dissection track I heard was more like, um stuff with songwriting I am used to? Chainsaw Dissection was more palatable but I am not sure I could really get into an album of the stuff because even then it kind of came off as riff salad. Thanks for posting the interview link cweed, in it the guy talks about how he feels that Chainsaw Dissection and Psychotic Homocidal Dismemeberment are his strongest works - so that can provide a useful starting point. Not sure if I will spend much more time trying to sift through his prolific work though.

I think I found a similar artist! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTVQ-eVdtzM

I admit, I had a thing for Chainsaw Dissection a few years ago, since it was kind of similar to Mortician. Im really into the horror art/song titles and the satanic impalement stuff. But yeah, musically, most of it is horrible.

I really appreciate what he does, especially in Chainsaw Dissection. However, I recognize that it's not everyone's cup of tea, and there's no reason for it to be. For a one man band with that man bands under his belt, I'm fairly impressed with the sheer amount of music that he can unleash. And even when it's underwhelming, I respect him for just sticking with it. I do enjoy Chainsaw Dissection, though, it's kinda like some good Mortician worship without excessive sampling.

I suppose this is legitimate assuming he's probably not just pumping out releases for profit. Clearly if the guy works at it, he'll get better over time. Practice, practice. He's just doing what he loves, and I don't really see a problem with that. If he sucks, don't buy his records, end of story.

I admire the man's commitment. Even though he wrote a lot of that stuff over 10 years, he has written A LOT of stuff. I really can't fault a guy who has a band called Clitpeeler, either.

It might be a lot, but really, it isnt, when the majority is just the same stuff. Too bad his stuff doesnt have better production or, dare I say, having more talent, then he'd have decent songs.

More power to Bob, he is a one man industry and fair play. It's not to everyones taste but some of the stuff he puts out is pretty decent.
