Yeah I'll second that 7 H.Target, that movie that this group is based on "Tetsuo" is completely fucking insane too.

I've seen a lot of hype over that aussie slam band "whoretopsy" although I haven't had the chance to check them out.

I just saw Nile over the weekend and they played a new song that fucking shreddded, really stoked on there new shit.

I checked out Medecophobic - Pandemic Of Existence and like it quite a bit, as well as the Visceral Disgorge.

Pathological Abomination - The Genesis Of Disfigured Biological Mass (Demo, 2012)

Note: the song linked above has the best breakdown ever at about 1:47-

Whoa, that logo. Definitely going to check this out.
EDIT: ... :ugh: That wasn't as good as expected. Sounds a lot like Abominable Putridity songwriting-wise - lots of technical, borderline-deathcore riffs spaced out with totally paceless slams that are way too simple to justify being that slow. The breakdown you mentioned has one of the most annoying uses of a stop-start riff I've ever heard. Yuck.

Here's one for you - Organectomy. I'm not a big fan of the vocals but the guitar tone is pretty similar to some of the chunkier goregrind bands out there, namely Torsofuck, and it makes up for the vocals tenfold.

And I'm listening to a few songs from the new Begging for Incest... :o Holy fuck, I was always a pretty big fan of these guys and all but...wow, this is...probably a contender for my album of the year now. :D

Woah, that guitar tone, awesome.

And uh, I actually like Abominable Putridity's latest.

The third song on Pathological Abomination's EP is an Abominable Putridity cover! I also absolutely love Abominable Putridity's latest album - the drums and production are out of this world, in particular.

That Begging For Incest album is probably my favorite right now of the genre. Just fantastic. My favorite song is the last one, Diarrhea Dreams. "I killed Paul Allen with an ax in the face. His body is dissolving in a bathtub in Hell's Kitchen!"

I can't stand the vocals on the Organectomy album, but I'll give it another try before I give up on it entirely.

I don't really hear the problem with Organectomy vocals... is it just that the guy is basically mumble-gurgling the whole time? Anyway, I found it kind of boring in general. As for Abominable Putridity.. total meh, both their old stuff and their new stuff. Way overrated.

This Whoretopsy band sounds promising though, checked out a couple of songs on youtube. A real drummer on the album would've been better though.

I enjoyed AP's newest album, but well, uh, it should be obvious that I have a hetero man-crush on Matti Way! I've only listened to the Whoretopsy album once and although it was samey, it was alright. Ditto the Begging for Incest. Although the more I listen to that one, the more I enjoy it.

The album I have been spinning lots and lots recently is Bodysnatch - Insights of a Rotten Theater

My personal top 5:

Biolich- The Space Between Home and Today: ( ok, this one is obviously a bit questionable, but the Wormed influence is huge on this record.)
Decrepit Birth- ... And Time Begins
Wormed- Planisphaerium
Suffocation- Pierced From Within
Deeds of Flesh- Path of the Weakening

Honorable Mentions:
Deeds of Flesh- Mark of the Legion
Gorgasm- Masticate to Dominate
Intestine Baalism- Anatomy of the Beast
Suffocation- Effigy of the Forgotten
Broken Hope- Swamped in Gore

This is all rather subjective however... Brutal Death Metal has always been a rather confusing genre for me, considering how diverse the sounds are of bands that are often put under the "Brutal Death Metal" label.

I want to like this cd so bad, but the annoying sliding fingers on guitar strings totally kills everything about that record. They need to oil up there strings or something, what an albumkiller.

While I don't like brutal death, this band intrigues me. http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Of_ ... hids/65628

I've never heard any of their stuff, but I feel like I want to really badly. Most of this is based on the second album's cover art, and the progressive death metal tag on their page may be a little vague (based on Noktorn's review). If anyone has any way for me to hear this, I'd love to know.

That is an awesome album artwork. Makes up for the incredibly amateurish first album's cover.

Here's something to look forward to this year that isn't Wormed: Visceral Throne. They'll be releasing their debut on Brutal Bands this year, and they have their demo up for free download on bandcamp, http://visceralthrone.bandcamp.com/

Dismal Divinity - Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam: Somewhat raw, oldscholish death metal with a crushing groove.

Image

Carnophage - Deformed Future// Genetic Nightmare

Maybe a bit closer to technical than brutal death metal, but a fairly obscure, intense and catchy turkish band.

Image

Sepsism - To prevail in disgust
Primal, semi technical bdm.

Yeah, that's good of what I've heard so far. I actually tried to submit Visceral Throne to MA but my oversight of their new, and more importantly first album not being out yet had the submission rejected. Their music had me interested enough to screw around with all that stuff,
lol. I'm looking forward to hearing the full album.

Carnophage is one I'll have to re-visit. Cenotaph - who are also from Turkey are really good. I'll check out the Amongst The Deceit - I like the cover and it also reminds me of Prostitute Disfigurement's Descend Into Depravity album; and that Sepsism album, too, I have their Distorting The Mortal Visage album but haven't listened to it, yet. Like their logo.

I assumed that everyone who would possibly care about Abnormality already knew about them, considering the fact that they reached millions of people with their song included on Rock Band 2's disc. They're top-notch tech/brutal death, and the samples I've heard of the new album suggest that it won't disappoint.

While I'm here, reading about you guys giving me shit for not knowing about Abnormality, I may as well also say that I'm also looking forward to new Guttural Secrete after listening to a good portion of Reek of Pubescent Despoilment just now. Again more on the technical side than the slam side, but fortunately I really like both.

A couple I listened to and liked the other day were:

Cerebral Incubation - Asphyxiating On Excrement (2008) <----------very good
Kraanium - The Art Of Female Sodomy (2009)

What do you guys think of Defeated Sanity?

Been listening lately to them and am curious about people's thoughts, as they are fairly new to me (this year, IIRC) but have been around a good while. I had one of their albums listed among my top-20 BDM albums the past 5-years, so I like them but am still trying to figure them out. Early impression is they're pretty excellent and the drumming in particular is very good (if at times over-done in the double-bass department). Love the guitar sound and technicality and vocals do not detract at all for me from the overall sound and feel of their music. I think there is a lot to like about them, but I have yet to listen to their whole discography and mostly have only heard Chapters Of Repugnance, which I like pretty well.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all three, but if any of them dropped off the face of the planet I would not give a shit. Wormed on the other hand... or Obscured Secretions (if they ever release anything else).. or Internal Suffering (who are back together, by the way) are all next level shit that I am actually looking forward to, not something I'll get around to downloading eventually.

Anyway, this was just released, friends of mine. I'm guessing most people are at least aware of Animals Killing People, but Andromorphus Rexalia is pretty awesome too, it's got Paulo from Copremesis on vocals. Conspiracy theory bdm.

Behold, the best brutal slam band ever, Eternal Suffering.

Very few slam bands have this much variety imo.

Yes, but sometimes the mentally impaired make up for their weaknesses by having other capabilities far beyond those of the average person. Slam bands may not really stand for the intellectual image that metal loves to uphold for itself, but fuck if the genre hasn't created some of the catchiest, most brutally punishing music to ever exist.
