Bands that should make next year's bill:

Blasphemophagher
Acheron
Archgoat
Order From Chaos(Yeah, no chance that'll happen, but would be awesome)
Vomitor
Gospel Of The Horns
Embrace Of Thorns
Master
Venom
Winter
Insanity(heard about them reforming & doing shows, them playing MDF would be killer!)
Evil Incarnate
Asphyx(missed em the years they played, would like to witness them live)

I'll be happy if two of these bands make the MDF bill.

Electric Wizard are one of the best live bands I have ever seen. Seen them five times and they have been better each time. Would be good to see Primordial, Mourning Beloveth or Altar of Plagues at this.

Wow, Godflesh! Amazing! I'm now sold. I do hope they play earlier material though, if they don't I will be a bit disappointed. And Winter is also an amazing addition, they sure did release one hell of an album back in the day.

Horna and Sargeist are also pretty cool. I have a few Horna CDs and while I don't play them very often, I still think they are solid albums. As for Sargeist, I've been vaguely interested in checking them out, but haven't so far. I suppose I need to do that now.

I'm also not familiar with Tsjuder, but I will check them out now too.

Fucking Disma are going to kick soo much ass. And with Godflesh and Winter-- this is looking more and more like an European festival. (as far as the bands that normally get booked for European festivals.)

Best. MDF. Ever.

This lineup is looking damn near perfect so far. And wouldn't you know it, I don't have to worry about school anymore! And I have a job that pays money!

I'm going to be there. Simple as that.

Winter, Godflesh, Ulcerate, Anvil, Saint Vitus, Demigod, Negura Bunget, and Morbid Angel (who should at least put on a decent show) all in one place? Ridiculous. Can't wait to see who else pops up on the bill.

This looks promising. MA, Godflesh, Winter, Electric Wizard, Bloody Phoenix, Suffocation and Demigod all rule. I hope some more punk/grind bands join, since last year Citizens Arrest and Tragedy played and they fucking rule.

I don't know a lot of these bands, but I think MDF is a great way to see some cool bands you don't know much about and discover some new shit.

I heard that Godflesh put on an amazing performance at Roadburn this year, so I'm pretty excited about seeing them. Winter have some absolutely brilliant material but the production (the thin sounding guitars mainly) on the debut always leave me yearning to hear them done justice. I guess this will be my opportunity to hear exactly that.

This lineup is brilliant so far and I'm sure it will only get better.

Eh, of the live videos I've seen of Godflesh in its reincarnated form (and bootleg recordings) I don't really feel them. Having a human drummer is a huge misstep I think.

I'd agree with this. No real reason at all for them to use a live drummer. Everyone knows the drums are programmed, and it doesn't really matter. The sound is altered with live drums, either in studio or live show. I think the programmed drums added to the atmospheric mechanical industrial stench of the old albums like Streetcleaner.

That's a decent line up. It's amazing to see that MDF is so big now they can afford bands like Morbid Angel and Anvil. Impressive.

Anvil shocks me too (especially since they're just not death metal in any shape or form) but they've definitely been big enough for the likes of Morbid Angel for at least a few years now.

More confirmed bands as of today:

AUTOPSY
NAPALM DEATH (UK)
EYEHATEGOD
NOOTHGRUSH
RWAKE
DEVIATED INSTINCT (UK)
COUGH
COKE BUST
INFERNAL STRONGHOLD
BACKSLIDER
CASTEVET

Stoked to see Autopsy again! I've also seen Backslider and Coke Bust a number of times and highly recommend them as well for fans of fast no-frills hardcore.

Can't wait to see autopsy, and eyehategod again. It'll be a first for me to see Napalm, and I'm also excited for Rwake. The only thing I'm worried about is that there will be too many good bands to see and there will be overlap. Haha we're starting to get spoiled.

Kinda cool considering at 2010's MDF we didn't get a very good view of EHG or Autopsy. Outside and saw them from pretty much behind, so I'll definitely take this chance to redeem myself. Also excited for Cough, Deviated Instinct and Coke Bust. Should be cool. Nice slathering from a lot of genres here, in fact I was just telling someone a few days ago that I hope more hardcore / crust bands get announced, and there you have it!

Looks like a really solid line-up, only band I don't really care for is Backslider, which sounds like generic modern powerviolence to me.

I'll be honest, the last additions didn't leave me particularly excited (other than Eyehategod, Cough, Infernal Stronghold), but Artillery would be pretty nice. Glad to see a little more Swedeath on the bill with Interment and Demonical.

Haha they are actually from the town I live in currently. But I got people to go with regardless, I just want more people in Chicago to witness the greatness that is this festival.

Speaking of greatness, ARTILLERY AND DESASTER GOD FUCKING DAMN YES!!!

If Rigor Mortis gets announced I will scream like a little girl as loud as possible no matter where I am when I see it.

Artillery is pretty cool, I like their By Inheritance album. DØDHEIMSGARD is an interesting band and I really like IBM, so seeing these guys would be pretty interesting. However, I don't think their music is all that great though, they have some interesting ideas, but overall they seem to just be average/decent. Still, I am curious to see them though. The rest seem like good additions as well.

I still would like to see a band like Morbid Saint do a reunion show, or Demo Hammer. I want some brutal thrash. I'd also like to see another old school death metal band show up, like Master or Nunslaughter.

Great lineup, excited for Hellbastard, one of the better bands on the bill so far, been a fan for a long time, new stuff isn't bad.

As far as Godflesh goes, they had a human drummer on Songs of Love and Hate, and that was a damn fine album.

Also pumped for Napalm and Deviated Instinct and Electric Wizard.

Ooookay, I was already sold on this... but then they go and add Desaster and Dodheimsgard!? Desaster is a favorite and when the hell was the last time DHG even played live? I've been meaning to look into Artillery more, but what I've heard was fucking awesome.

Totally stoked for the following:
MORBID ANGEL, ELECTRIC WIZARD, AUTOPSY, NAPALM DEATH, SAINT VITUS, SUFFOCATION, ARTILLERY, WINTER, CHURCH OF MISERY, BETHLEHEM, NEGURA BUNGET, MACABRE, DISMA, OCTOBER 31, COUGH
And all of the artists haven't yet been announced - still more to come!
My wife's cousin lives only a couple of hours from Baltimore, so I'll be crashing with her and going to this one.

Winter
Autopsy
Disma
Desaster
Demigod

Fest is starting to look better.

Though I do find bands like Godflesh & Sargiest to be quite overrated. If Dodheimsgard play shit off their first 2 albums their set should be alright. Chances are their setlist is mainly gonna be shit off Superhomo Outcast.
