yea it had been meantioned before I really didn't like it the first time around I listened to it but maybe I'll give it another shot. the artwork reminds me of something Dystopia would've done.

Thormenthor are an odd Portuguese band with lots of thrash elements. Their last two albums became quite techy, but I really mean that in a good way. The clean production really helps them. I take all their releases to be gems, so I can't post just one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LOhrhtEDGw&feature=related just listen to more albums/songs by using the rec bar. S'all good shit.

Thormenthor only have one album, the rest of their material is composed of demo, split or EP releases. Their sole album though is a massive beast of prog death inspired by Cynic, and it sells for hundreds of dollars on Ebay.

To whom it may concern...

I've just made a repress (most probably the very last one) of this:

Image

DELIRIUM - Zzooouhh CD [MEMENTO-IV]
Official reissue of this obscure gem originally released in 1990. Rancid and stenchy Death/Doom like some sort of Celtic Frost / Dream Death meets early Asphyx and Necro Schizma, with one of the most putrid voices ever. The 12-page booklet features a brand new layout including liner notes / forewords by Mark Honout (Delirium's guitar/vox), Ricard García (Morbid Visions 'zine), Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle, Asphyx), Costa Stoios (Tales Of The Macabre Mag, Iron Pegasus Records), Stephan Gebédi (Hail Of Bullets, Thanatos) and Olivier 'Zoltar' Badin (Terrorizer Mag).

Feel free to visit http://www.memento-mori.es and take a look at the rest of our releases and mailorder items.

Hey lom404, you should check out Desecrator's "Wake the dead" demo '89 then, it sounds quite similar to your recommendation. I'm talking about the Swedish Desecrator, by the way.
Since your Mortem is limited to 1 copy only, can I borrow it please ?

There's so much great stuff from Russia that I've never heard of. The problem seem to be how the hell to get all this stuff. lom404, you know if any of these gems are possible to get anywhere? Not downloads, the real deal.

Let's bring this bitch back to live!

WitchCraft (or Witch Craft) - Sworn to Despise

- How many of you have even heard about this one before?
This band WitchCraft is a total mystery to me and confuses me on several points:
1. It's a Danish band not even Danes know about
2. 3/4 of the bandmembers are women. Now, nothing strange about that, except it is strange for a Danish death metal band!
3. Those women's names sound anything but Danish. More Eastern European in fact. Only the drummer has a Danish name.
4. The artwork....looks like obscure heavy metal?? Gothic maybe???
5. The bandphoto. Beside the fact three members are women, the bandphoto looks like a medieval/neo-folk or gothic-style band, not death metal.
6. Recorded in Germany, released by Dream Circle Records????
7. Now, the music. Danish bands often sounds quite the same. This band sounds nothing like any other Danish band. In fact, it sounds more like some of those obscure Polish or Czech bands who released tapes in the early 90's. Not bad at all, though kind of primitive. Check it out:

I have both their album and their demo from '92. They were actually quite known in the area of Esbjerg, not for their music, but for the fact that they had 3 Polish women in the line up. And that they had a woman growling, which were much more unusual in those days.
I have seen them live a couple of times. My first band even played a gig with them (a very short one). Remembering a friday afternoon when the city we live in had a "best of the bands" competition they went to the final (with local and now reformed deathdoom band Caustic) and tried to persuade people to vote for them. Luckily it backfired on them, as they didn't even deserve to get to the final.

Carry up the topic to ask those of you who bought the reissue of DieHard Music

Maceration 'A Serenade Of Agony'

and if recommend it to me.
I wanted to know how is the booklet and especially if it contains the original cover inside.

Thanks!

^ This is the artwork for the reissue. As far as I know the reissue doesn't include the original too, since the band hated it (like the new one is better??).

Agreed. I have been a fan of them for years. It's good that they are getting a proper reissue. Now I think it's time for someone to do Cartilage as well.

Here's some good old school DM from the USA: Gutted. They deserve a reissue as well. Their first album and demo are great.
