I went out yesterday and bought A night at the opera by Queen on vinyl. Godly album.

I'm also bidding on a copy of Nighttime birds by the gathering on vinyl, ending tomorrow. Really hope I can win that, as they are my favourite band.

Funebrarum / Undergang - 'The Dead of Winter' 7" Split

If I collected vinyl, this one would be a must-buy. What's it like?

A great slab of old-school death metal. I'm really liking the Undergang track "Kloakkens Afkom," the guitars and production are just filthy and crushing on that one. The Funebrarum track is alright, just as good as they've always been. I think its safe to say I enjoy Undergang's track more.

Also, the cover artwork. Phenomenal.

My purchases from the other day, adding the Detriment tape that my buddy let me have.

Sadly the Xentrix J-Cards were cut prior to purchasing.

Very nice! Ripping corpse and portal rule. Where did you get the Ved Buens ende CD?

Thanks man! I ordered it from a seller through Amazon. Been hearing about this album for years, so I finally decided to do something about it. And yeah, Ripping Corpse tore my head off. I expected to like it, but I didn't expect to be completely blown away as I was. Haven't heard Portal yet, so I'm looking forward to that.

As for the guy asking about how hard it is to find that Ripping Corpse CD: not very hard. Amazon sells it directly, and that's where I got it. Wasn't expensive either.

Cool. I have the first pressing on black vinyl, which isn't as cool as that, but it did come with a bigger poster. I'll post my haul from the past few weeks when the last packages I'm waiting for arrive.

Just received the following in the mail:

DoomSword - Let Battle Commence
Manilla Road - Invasion
Manilla Road - Gates of Fire
Hellwell - Beyond the Boundaries of Sin

'Gates of Fire' and Hellwell are excellent, especially Hellwell. I actually like this better than 'Playground of the Damned', which I found disappointing.

My first purchase of classical music. I know nothing about the interpreters but it was pretty cheap.

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - Scottish & Italian Symphony (Georg Schmöhe/ Münchener Symphoniker)
Robert Schumann - Symphonies 1-4 (Jerzy Semkow/ Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra) (I figured that 1 buck / symphony was a pretty good rate ^^)

That's pretty damn cheap. If you weren't living almost exactly at the other end of the globus I'd ask you if you could get me some.
