Some fairly recent purchases.

The new Om album is sooo goooood.

Oops, crappy picture quality. Xysma - The First and Magical, Hammers of Misfortune - The August Engine. Both great albums (I can't believe Xysma has no reviews on this site! I might have to change that soon). The Xysma white vinyl reissue is especially beautiful - SVART Records rules!

Whoever tries to kick you in the nuts for listening to Jane Doe is an idiot! Brilliant album and one of the best metalcore (or mathcore or whatever you'd like to call it really) albums in existence.

I agree, I've spun it about ten times in two days and it has yet to disappoint me in any way. I'd heard a lot about Converge but never actually listened to them (though I knew beforehand that they were Metalhead-Approved Non-Metal (TM)), but I made a friend recently who worships them and insisted I check that album out (I accepted on the condition that she listened to Elvenefris :D); she also convinced me to revisit BMTH and come to the conclusion that Count Your Blessings is a surpisingly decent early deathcore album. So I got those, and arbitrarily deciding to keep with the -core theme, I bought a TN12LLY album because I'd heard one song and really liked it, and Job for a Cowboy's Doom (which isn't pictured because it was used and was skipping tracks like mad - the CD's underside looked like someone had been using it as a drink coaster. :ugh: I'm going to return it).

Just snagged a cheap copy of Voivod's War and Pain from Amazon. Pumped to finally have some of their raw and apocalyptic material headed my way.

Finally got my limited edition, CD/DVD/128 page mediabook slipcase version of Marillion's Sounds That Can't Be Made.

Image

I've had the digital version for a few weeks now, which was provided by the band while I waited (very patiently) for the physical version to arrive. It's literally one of the very few things I've been constantly been spinning these very few weeks. I can't wait to finally blast the everliving fuck out of the CD through my home stereo.

Hopefully there will be a vinyl very, very soon.

Dark Descent is 100% reliable as far as I know. Many here order from them (including myself on several occasions), so you shouldn't have any issues.
