My latest score:

Image
Cripta Oculta - Sangue do Novo Amanhecer (This one is amazing!)
Depressive Years - Failing to Confront Suicidal Thoughts
Finist - Awakening

Image
Njiqahdda - The Path of Liberation from Birth and Death
Njiqahdda - Yrg Alms
Sator Marte - Termonukleární evoluce
Vapor Hiemis - Пламя Зимы

Image
Ygg - Ygg
Eldrig - Kali

Image
Falloch - This Island, Our Funeral (I really hoped this would be good. Even though their debut had its significant flaws, I enjoyed many of the songs! This one on the other hand... It sounds so half-hearted... Hopefully it will grow on me. )
Moévöt - Abgzvoryathre

Image
Immortal - Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism
Immortal - Battles in the North
Kataklysm - Sorcery
Nocturnus - Thresholds

And two rarities here:

Image
Disastrous Murmur - Rhapsodies in Red (Original on Osmose, and I didn't even pay half of what this one goes for on Discogs etc.)

Image
Blut aus Nord - Ultima Thulée (Finally got this one! Now I'm only waiting for my Memoria Vetusta III!)

Spoiler: show

Obituary - Inked in Blood
Shock - Once Denied

A cool tidbit about these is both albums came straight from the bands. The Obituary album came with a few merch items because I bought it through Kickstarter, and the album itself had a sticker of the hacked up torso. Also, the Inked in Blood digipak is 3D; you can feel his scars, guts, and pecs.

If anyone's interested, I found a piece of hair attached to the envelope from Obituary. I believe it belongs to Trevor Peres. It can be yours for $25.

That's a great Disastrious-collection there, Dreadmeat! Nope, this is the Osmose 1st-press from '92. Got it for 15$ or something from a seller here in Norway. I'd say that's a good deal!

I just got the Vic reissue of Incubus's (FL) demo on cd. I'm really disappointed with the packaging though - it's like a slim case digipak but the disc is hard to slip out and I feel like it'll end up getting scuffed up every time I take it out and put it back so I put it in a one of those individual clothy disc covers. Other than that I'm psyched though to have a physical copy of it finally.

Part one:
Bathory from someone I know
Black Witchery from Discogs

Bathory - Under The Sign Of The Black Mark [GER, repress of a reissue from about 2000, low quality artwork but wicked music]
Black Witchery - Desecration Of The Holy Kingdom [US, original! got this for a very nice price]

Part two: from Discogs

Mortification - Live Without Fear (Mortification, Live At 'The Voice' 3-2-96) [nice old live set]
Mortification - The Silver Cord Is Severed [original with the red cover]
Mortification - Triumph Of Mercy [US]
Prong - Power Of The Damager [US, digipak, reasonably forgettable]
The Crucified - Take Up Your Cross/Nailed [US, old demos? not really my bag but, one for the collection]
The Crucified - The Pillars Of Humanity [US, original! I've wanted this for years, Disctronics USA matrix] New to Discogs
Vengeance Rising - Destruction Comes [US, original]

Pick of the litter: The Crucified - The Pillars Of Humanity easily wins
this album instantly transports me back to 1993 3rd form [thanks for the dubbed tape Rob the Aussie - see bonus photo, nostalgia override man, where did 21 years go...]

Neocrust with a dash of death.

Image
His Hero Is Gone - Fifteen Counts of Arson
facedowninshit - Shit Bloody Shit
Aktiv Dodshjalp - 4:48
Alpinist - Lichtlaerm/Minus.Mensch

Image
Disgust - Brutality of War; The Horror of It All
Cathode - A Machine That Never Falters
Paranoia Keeps Crawling - Made to be Broken (in a DVD case that I managed not to fit in the pic)

Image
Internal Suffering - Chaotic Matrix; Choronzonic Force Domination
The Creeps - Eulogies

Actually the first Disgust album was not part of this haul -- I picked it up (because it was on Earache) probably 15 years ago on a whim when I had no idea what d-beat or crust even was. Didn't realize it was even in the picture til I uploaded. Smooth.

And The Creeps is neither crust nor death metal. It's the most depressing power pop/punk I've ever heard, some kind of concept album about suicide via suburban desperation, thrown in free with my subscription to Razorcake. Can't say I'm into the style of music, but good lord is it effective. It's almost supernaturally sad. Something about the guy's voice gives me the shivers.

Most of the other stuff is from Crimes Against Humanity Recs. Pick of the litter? No doubt His Hero Is Gone. Many years ago, again before I knew about this subgenre, I fell in love with an album called Civil Dead by Artimus Pyle (the band not the Lynyrd Skynrd dude) and wrongfully assumed they were some kind of sui generis band that sounded like no other and had no antecedents. It was quite some time later that I learned that they, and all the bands like them, pretty much fell from the His Hero Is Gone tree, and now I'm hoovering up the stuff like a decade and a half after the fact.

part three: from Discogs, love that place!

Carcass - Live At St. George's Hall, Bradford, UK November 15, 1989 [MEX, naughty bootleg, not for me but it's pretty good]
Denouncement Pyre - Almighty Arcanum [US, not bad, needs another listen, didn't really jump out at me]
Machetazo - Carne De Cementerio [US, ultra heavy Spanish death grind blast noise, I have all their albums [available on CD] now apart from The Maggot Sessions]
Sodom - Marooned Live [GER, really good old live album from 1994]
Troll - Universal [NOR, wicked! my kind of industrial black metal horror show, I have The Last Predators too which is really good too, an accidental discovery even]
Unleashed - Victory [US, original, wicked stuff]
Vociferian - Glorificia Bestials [BEL? pretty good, I have Universal Hate Decades Ultimatum too]

Pick of the litter: Troll, it’s new and exciting, it would be Machetazo but I’ve heard that before but this troll is really good

I thought something was missing from my last pic. Forgot about these guys:
Image

Kadath - Chasing the Devil

Between the band's name (and nationality) and the kinda squirmy looking album cover, and even to some extent the sample of their music I checked out before ordering, I'd hoped this would be along the lines of Blood's O Agios Pethane. While there are occasional moments that remind me of that kickass album, Chasing the Devil is more of a brutal death thing, a concept album about serial killer Andrei Chikatilo. The lyrics read like a true crime novel. If you ever feel like digging a new sublevel for your loathing of humanity, google Chikatilo. The 1995 movie Citizen X cinematized the story of his crimes' investigation. I recall seeing it years ago and thinking it was pretty good (read: accurately disturbing). Fun stuff.

Picked up some things recently:

Horrendous - Ecdysis, Picked this up from the band at their show. From what I heard, it sounded pretty good.
Saint Vitus - Born Too Late, Picked this up at the Unholy Anarchy booth at the Horrendous show.
Seven Sisters of Sleep / Ilsa split, pick this up at the Horrendous show as well.

Magic Circle - Magic Circle, Finally picked this up in physical format after listening to it for several months. I think this is perhaps the best doom album I've heard in recent years. Those darker, somber, melancholy riffs in tandem with the amazing higher wails of that singer are really damn awesome. Truly great all the way through, can't wait to see what this band comes up with on their sophomore effort.

Also I picked up some stuff from that Carnival of Death tour. I picked up another Jungle Rot shirt, one of the tour shirts. I also picked up a Suffocation - Human Waste tshirt, a Jungle Rot - Skin the Living patch, a Jungle Rot poster and the Jungle Rot drumsticks seen in the picture. I also saw Dave Matrise hanging out near the Jungle Rot booth, so I got him to sign my original copy of Skin the Living. :headbang:

I also would like to apologize for my dirty floor, but by apologizing, I've probably only just made you notice.

And even Cannibal Corpse, Dismember and some kind of punk. But except of 10 CDs everything is going for re-sale. The patches are all originals from the late 80s to mid 90s which are unused.

Rainbow Demon where'd you get that Tank boxset? I tried looking it up and on Amazon and Discogs it went for a pretty penny. Did you get a good deal or did you have to pay quite a bit as well?

I think you'll agree with me when I say that there's diversity, and then there's Ludacris next to Darkspace! Not joking on your tastes, merely on your shelving assortment. ;)
