High on Fire - Luminiferous (Fantastic! Songs have more melody in them and Matt's vocals are great. A really well written bunch of songs)
Inverloch - Dusk / Subside (Dark and well written)
Exarsis - The Brutal State (Another thrash band from Greece. So many bands from there! Not a bad album but nothing new)
Algebra - Feed the Ego (An absolute gem. I have to credit one of the forum members for putting them in the recommendations for thrash thread. Just really great thrash songs on the album and great production. Vocals take a bit of getting used to though)
Tangled Thoughts of Leaving - Deaden the Fields (Haven't spun this yet)
Colossvs - Unholy (A crushing display of metal. Fantastic)
Thy Art is Murder - Holy War (Sounds ok. Needs more spins)
Svart Crown - Profane (Wish I got this earlier!!! Great album)
Karyn Crisis' Gospel of the Witches - Salem's Wounds (Surprisingly good. Also has two dudes from Immolation playing on it)
Dr Living Dead! - Crush the Sublime Gods (Stunning. Catchy as hell. Great songs and you can hear the Suicidal Tendencies influence. I just keep going back to it)

couldn't resist by the price although I only was interested in 6 or 7 of those as I already owned the rest but it is pretty good trading material as except 2 CDs all are firstpresses

They're so much better than I ever expected. I had no idea the main writer was Matt from Borrowed Time until it all started to sound a little too familiar. It's more graveyard-esque than BT but I hear a lot of similarities in the guitars. Really glad they came up with some new sleazy art for that tape release or I never would have taken a chance. Glad you dig it!

I just picked up Angel Dust's album Enlighten the Darkness (http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Angel_Dust/Enlighten_the_Darkness/436899) and am so far really enjoying it (listening to it at the moment in fact).

Some things from my latest haul came today.

Full Of Hell & Merzbow - Full Of Hell & Merzbow (digipak, this is some fucking intense shit ladies and gentlemen!)
Bell Witch - Four Phantoms (digipak)
Abyssal - Antikatastaseis (digipak, this cover really fits the bleakness of this album)

Well if Kosherat have grown on you, I think you could enjoy both Mocking and Judeobeast. I prefer the original press of Mocking since the remastered version sounds a bit too loud and it can destroy much of the music. But maybe it's just me who is picky..

Both Judeobeast and Mocking are different from each other and Kosherat, so check them out on youtube or something first and see if it's something you want to buy.

Slayer - Divine Intervention (finally get to hear this one, and I've never seen this version with the slipcase before)
Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier (it's been a while, but I've been meaning to give this one another chance)

Image

AC/DC - Flick of the Switch
AC/DC - Fly on the Wall
AC/DC - Blow Up Your Video

Really great to find all three of these together. I know their probably the weakest of the AC/DC catalog, but I intend to give them their fair shake.

Warrior - Fighting For the Earth (cool find, supposed to be pretty good I hear)
Armored Saint - Delirious Nomad (don't have anything by them, excited for this)
Legs Diamond - Town Bad Girl (blind purchase, looked interesting, heard the name but I know this ain't the good stuff)

Just got these in the mail:

Seer's Tear - Precious (1998)
Pretty obscure late 90s doomy prog band with a great production by Mags. The vocalist was in Solstice (UK) for a short time and sang on their Promo '93 / As Empires Fell demo. So that being said, it's pretty easy to say that with the vocals and the production it sounds like a more prog-metal version of early Solstice (UK).

Behind the Scenery - ... Of Honesty Forbidden (2000)
Reminds me at times of Gallery-era Dark Tranquillity. Really great melodic death with lots of acoustic mellow passages. I also have their debut album "Nocturnal Beauty of a Dying Land" on order but I haven't received it yet.

My orders from Hells Headbangers came in yesterday:

Image
Svyatogor - Energy - Freedom: Force Is Strong Power Is Imperious
Superchrist - Holy Shit
Energy Vampires - Energy Vampires
The Royal Arch Blaspheme - II

Haven't listened to all of them yet, but so far the Dragonslayer and Superchrist albums have been a blast to listen to.

Well, I'm sure the full album is on youtube, but I prefer not to listen to older albums, and specifically more cannon studio albums, that I haven't heard yet that way. I'd rather just wait and find the physical copy somewhere. I'll check out new albums through youtube, like for instance when this new Slayer record comes out. If they don't have an official stream then I'm sure someone will be uploading the full thing and I'll hear it that way.

I thought I would have seen Divine on tape by now, but four bucks for the used CD is pretty good and I dig the slipcase. Listening to it right now, and so far it sounds pretty damn good.

My haul from rockadrome came today. They were having a 20% off any order sale, so I took advantage.

Spoiler: show
Image

Loudness - Law of the Devil's Land. 2011 reissue of their 1983 third album. I previously had Thunder in the East because I liked Crazy Nights, but I think this album is much better. It stands even with a lot of 1983 classics in my mind, such as Bark at the Moon, Holy Diver, Piece of Mind, Friends of Hell, Into Glory Ride... Not quite up there with Kill 'em All or Melissa though.

Malombra - Malombra. As MA puts it, this Italian band is "heavy/gothic metal, symphonic progressive rock/metal." That's a pretty apt description, but I might add "doom" in there too. Really good stuff.

Akron - La Signora del Buio. More dark Italian prog. This is on MA as a doom metal band, but I don't think they're really metal at all. There is no guitar, and there aren't many songs where the bass takes the role of guitar, like it does with say, Om (a band that's nothing at all like this one). Perhaps this is listed as a side project of The Black's bass player? In either case, this is a really good album, full of spooky atmospheres.

Incidentally, I really dig the cover artworks for all three of these.

Thanks! I'm especially enjoying those Centinex albums, I'd heard Reflections before but not Malleus Maleficarum and both are killer. The prices weren't TOO steep, with shipping they ended up about $25 each. Although it looks like someone's selling MM for $9.99 now, so joke's on me. :durr:

Yeah we get deadstock of the old Wild Rags titles and sell original copies of MM for $14. So it isn't that expensive.

Good to know. I've ordered a few things from your shop but I usually just browse the DD releases, gotta do some digging next time.
