Current 11 is still one of my favorite death metal albums years later. I love the Sumerian Egyptian sound and atmosphere, it's fantastic. I think the review I have for it was either my first or second review ever on M-A so it sucks. I should rewrite it. I'm still waiting for a follow up to this album, damn it!

I actually read both of the reviews here before I bought it, didn't realize one was yours.

It is a very solid album, something away from the norm that still kicks tons of ass. I wonder if they will ever do a follow up to it?

Well the band is still active, but I don't know what is holding them up. I'd be surprised if the reason was trouble getting an album released, considering they are still apparently signed to Carnal Records. Their damn website hasn't been updated in years either, weird .

I've never seen a copy for less than $40 (well I did once on Amazon but they wouldn't ship to Australia), so when I saw a copy for $8 I purchased it instantly.

Nice! I bought mine for 15$ or so. It does look badass but I keep mine unopened for the collection. I also have the normal edition which I use for listening.

Last week I bought Acid Bath - When the Kite string Pops on douple colored vinyl. Fuckin' great album.

Fucking agreed. You picked up two quality albums, my good man. Of the two, I'd vote Triptykon as being superior, but Hour Of Penance is still really flippin' good.


Hmm, I don't know your tastes, but for me, I found Xerath to be good, but it didn't blow me away. Hopefully you find it a little better.

I will say that you could do worse for a blind purchase, that's for sure.
