I have finally Sodom-ized my CD collection.

Image

Sodom - Persecution Mania
Sodom - Code Red
Sodom - In War And Pieces
Summoning - Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame
Blut Aus Nord - Ultima Thulée
Vader - Tibi Et Igni
Isis - Panopticon

I'm not sure about the Summoning record yet. I didn't expect it to be that way at all, and I didn't really like what I heard when I listened to it. I'll give it a few more listens, and if I still don't like it, I'll either return it or sell it to someone on here if they're interested.

I am also expecting all 3 of Vektor's albums to arrive in the mail very shortly. Super excited to hear Terminal Redux.

Roky Erickson - Don't Slander Me
Sleep of Monsters - II: Poison Garden

Just ordered. I'm especially waiting for that Roky Erickson one. Heard two songs from Poison Garden, and they're not as good as most songs on their first album. But I don't condemn it just yet.

Is that your first Roky? It's one of my favorite albums BUT..BUT! The Evil One/Five Symbols (depending on which version you get) is literally flawless. Quite possibly the pinnacle of that style of rock and roll. Who doesn't love old-timey sounding guitar-based rock and roll where all the lyrics are about demons and monsters? It's the god damn best ever.

I got The Evil One... Some version of it. It's the album I've listened the most during this year. Truly one of the best albums ever! That's why I got to get most of his stuff.

Nice score on that Bathory album maniac!

Image

Aborted - Retrogore
Dark Funeral - Secrets of the Black Arts (I like that it includes both mixes of the album)
Caladan Brood - Echoes of Battle
Marduk - La Grande Danse Macabre

Image

Krallice - Years Past Matter
Marduk - Frontschwein
Winterfylleth - The Ghost of Heritage
Morbid Angel - Blessed Are the Sick
The Austrasian Goat - Paved Intentions (not to keen on the sleeve design here. It just folds over the records)
Falls of Rauros - Hail Wind and Hewn Oak

DEATH AND DOOM :headbang:

Image

Death - Scream Bloody Gore (3 CD deluxe reissue, limited to 2000 copies). The packaging is awesome on this one.
Scream Bloody Gore longsleeve t-shirt.
Doom (collectors edition for PS4).

Doom fucking rocks. In fact it's unbelievable badass. If you want an oldschool FPS that just breathes metal this is the game for you! The soundtrack is great and as a huge fan of the original I really love the nostalgic gameplay and secrets.

Yeah haha. Ordered it directly from Relapse and it came in today. Have seen people on facebook who've got it even earlier (before last weekend).

Visigoth - The Revenant King
Impending Doom - Baptized in Filth
Heathen - The Evolution of Chaos
Cattle Decapitation - To Serve Man
Amorphis - Ad Universum - I don't really like Amorphis but I figured I'd give them another shot, especially when it's so cheap

Sweet! I was lucky enough to find original EP's and have the cash on me, but you can't go wrong here. This is some great death metal.

Yeah, I have Ancient Black Earth and Resurrection. I got them both on Discogs. They were certainly not cheap, but I think they pop up there regularly so keep checking. :)

Some very nice vinyl there. I can't afford a new record player so am stuck with CDs.

Anyhow last couple of months - kinda quiet really:

CD:
Anthrax - For All Kings
Destroyer 666 - Wildfire
Entombed AD - Dead Dawn
Motorhead - Inferno
Soundgarden - Loud Love
Suicidal Tendencies - Art Of Revolution
Venom - From The Very Depths

Also ordered Skyclad - A Belly Full Of Emptiness compilation.

DVD/CD
Various - Tasmanian Metal (DVD/CD combo - history of local metal scene plus ton of local bands ala Intense Hammer Rage, Dreadnought, Taberah, Zero Degrees Freedom etc etc)

I downloaded Gorgoroth's "Instinctus Bestialis" yesterday, so I was reading the notes in the Metal Archives as I usually do when I buy a metal album. The live musicians do not include Infernus. Does this mean he doesn't tour, or is it just assumed that he is there since it's his band? I was surprised to see two guitarists listed -- Paimon and Fábio Zperandio, but not Infernus.

The album is obviously a Gorgoroth album. The music is still great, but I'm not a big fan of Atterigner as a vocalist. I hate to say it, but I miss Gaahl. The album is only 32 minutes, but I don't mind it being short. I'd rather bands not add filler just for the sake of making a longer album.

I just saw Gorgoroth live last weekend (Steelfest Open Air) and Im pretty sure Infernus was playing there and Paimon was there too with other guitar. Hoest was doing vocals and I didnt recognize bass player but I guess he was Guh.Lu (listed on live members), not a clue about drummer. Maybe Fabio fills place whenever Paimon cannot perform or something?
