You still need to check the contents for damage though, do you know what's in it already or is it a surprise?

Got the new Mors Principium Est album (Dawn of the 5th Era), I really enjoy it, much more then the previous one and close to the old ones. From the previous one I enjoyed the last song the most and they got on at that point with this album so that is nice of them :)

You're damn right mate, but I want to assume a little risk (altough the discogs seller have 100% pos feed).
And yes, I've already know its content :-D

Just a few arrived today my Horna collection is nearly complete, GV is getting there. :headbang:

Is Dying Blaze worth checking out? the cover art looks killer.

Horna - Sotahuuto (i read this album was written in dedication to Quorthon?)
Graveland - Immortal Pride
Horna - Ääniä Yössä (i hate not being able to pronounce Hornas album titles ha ha)
Image

And a few goodies arrived from Rob Darken, he also sent me a Thousand Swords patch which i didn't bother to photograph.

Arkham Witch - Hammerstorm (CD) (Inconsistent band but this EP is pretty sweet so hopefully album 3 will be too)
Atka / Shimetsu - Split (CD) (1 of 2 freebies courtesy of Ecocentric Records)
bvdub - Tanto (CD) (Brock 4ever <3)
Captainpopaptain - Captainpopaptain (CD) (The Ecocentric release I actually paid for. Weird mix of drone/doom and post-hardcore)
Japanische Kampfhörspiele - Live in Trier (CD) (2nd free Ecocentric Records release. Merry Christmas, I guess?)
Matravian - Angelcynn (CD) (It's good to have ex-Solstice (UK) singer Simon Matravers back in action)
The Dead - Deathsteps to Oblivion (CD) (Took exactly a month to get here from India)
The Skull - For Those Which Are Asleep (CD) (Not nearly as good as Blackfinger, the other Eric Wagner project that's currently active, but not bad)

I know there are some that immediately dismiss bands(actually this is just a one man project) for being unblack metal, but I find this to be quite a rewarding listen. Here's a link to one of my favorite tracks from the album.

It's quite easy, actually... just say "ääniä yössä", exactly as it is written.

That's how Conan O'Brien would pronounce it, yes. Why don't you just say it the way it's written? We Finns do.

That reminds me of the Janeane Garofalo line where someone asks how to pronounce her last name and she says, "like the animal."

Today my pre-order of The Deathtrip's Deep Drone Master finally arrived from Omega so I'll be immersed in glorious minimalist black metal for the day. There was much rejoicing.

Oh really? ha ha for some reason i pictured it to be so much harder :) thanks. Insision are great hey! have such a unique sound, they have not released anything in a while though sadly?

Yeah unblack metal is something i have not delved into yet, i will give that track a go after work though thanks :)

Just ordered Stargazer's A Great Work of Ages through amazon's private seller market. What choice did I have after hearing A Merging to the Boundless? There was absolutely no hope. This band is special, I think.

I heard half the album, I think they're boring. Then again, NWN! do specialise in boring music.

That Blackstar album is awful, I got it ages ago hoping it would sound like Carcass or Cathedral but it sounds like neither...

I have some cool stuff here that has arrived over the past few days and now 2 nights off so I get to catalogue them! :nods:

Haha, I really like it. But I knew it didn't expect it to sound like Necroticism or even Heartwork era Carcass. For what it is it's really good imo.

^ nice one Jasp!

Ok laaadies, brace thyselfs

From Real Groovy, haven't been to this shop for months since I do night shift and it's a mission to get there
met a long-time internet mate there for the first time too \m/,

Aura Noir - The Merciless [UK, original misspress Digipak with the CD tray in the centre panel, killer album!]
Bathory - Blood Fire Death [CAN, Kraze repress] new to Discogs
Bathory - The Return...... [RUS, Irond 2002, I should have checked =( cool album anyway]
Burial Hordes - Devotion To Unholy Creed [SIN, Digipak, ripping black death]
Celtic Frost - Monotheist [US, Century Media, yes finally]
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends [GER, 1998 remastered reissue with 3 bonus songs]
Demilich - Nespithe [SPA, 2009 reissue, I never used to like this one because of the vocals but I do now]
Destruktor - Nuclear Storm [US, awesome but I already have one]
Deteriorot - In Ancient Beliefs [US, original WWIII]
Disinter - Welcome To Oblivion [FRA, Deadsun Records + bonus song, other versions don't have this, solid DM]
Disjecta Membrae - Taedium Vitae [SPA, careless listening is to be avoided - indeed]
Dozer - In The Tail Of A Comet [US, black/white disc version not blue/white, solid stoner] new to Discogs
Exhumation - Seas Of Eternal Silence [DEN, I like the artwork...]
Fleshgrind - Destined For Defilement [US, 1999 reissue, not sure why I got this]
Gojira - L'Enfant Sauvage [AUS, pretty cool, not as good as other albums of theirs]
Iron Maiden - Best Of The Beast [UK, 1996 compilation]
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden [UK, 1987 repress]
Lair Of The Minotaur - War Metal Battle Master [US, wicked album, spare copy]
Martire - Martire [US, killer stuff, spare copy]
Morningstar - Finnish Metal [FIN, bandannas and bullet belts, uh huh...]
Nazxul - Iconoclast [GER, original on Eisenwald Tonschmiede, I almost like this enough to ignore the synths, almost]
Neurosis - Sovereign [US, original 2000 Digipak, some Neurosis I can't handle but this is really good]
Old Man Gloom - No [US, gatefold cardboard packaging, I already have a copy of this]
Sepsism - Purulent Decomposition [SPA, original Repulse, this album slays, I have the promo too]
Sons Of Otis - Temple Ball [US, original Man's Ruin, score!] new to Discogs
Swans - Children Of God / World Of Skin [US, 2xCD reissue of both albums, kind of hard to find this stuff]
Usurper - Threshold Of The Usurper / Skeletal Season [UK, 2 EPs released together? totally wicked and I'm glad I took a punt on it]

Private purchase from Shawn - Witchrist
Mitochondrion / Gyibaaw - Rituals Of Transcendence / Liimk Halaayt [US, quite weird but it's ok]

Pick of the litter: Usurper, I've played this probably 5 times since I got it, catchy and memorable DM, recommended stuff

NB: a few of these go immediately to the trade list

Just snagged Doombringer's "The Grand Sabbath" from NWN. I also picked up an LP for Heavy_T_Skubbs that I'm so god damn pumped about. Can't post it here though, just in case!

Great score dread! I also have Monotheist. I wan't to like it, but I can't get into that record.
I realize my collection lacks Bathory by seeing those two records. I only got the Jubileum 3 comp. Time to look around for some more albums.

And thanks, I'm really surprised by the Vomitory record. It's awesome!

I plan on listening to the whole thing, but what's the fucking point? It'll only end up being a 2.5 on RYM. PS, you're a thick fuggin' twat, yourself, H_T. You don't know arse or elbow when it comes to metal (hence your appreciation for all things dull-doom!). :)
