Rainbow Demon where'd you get that Tank boxset? I tried looking it up and on Amazon and Discogs it went for a pretty penny. Did you get a good deal or did you have to pay quite a bit as well?

I got it from Amazon for about $150 brand new. I was going to cave in and get one from Discogs, but I saw it on Amazon and snatched it up.

^great great hauls mate.

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm so surprised you're from Pakistan, for sure not a really good place to be a metal kid.

How works censorship in your country?

Thanks man. Actually Pakistan in reality is totally different from what you see on media or hear from others. Most of the people in western and other countries think it's like Iran or Saudi Arabia but it's not like that. There's no censorship of any kind here. I've been into metal for over 14 years now, attended lots of metal gigs but never ever faced any problem whatsoever. A friend of mine organizes one of this country's biggest heavy metal gigs "Hellfest" (not the French one :-P ) in the capital city Islamabad each year. We've got bands playing all kind of genres from death metal to doom, to thrash/crossover to black metal. Heck I can even go to a Mosque wearing my Immolation/Incantation tees without any trouble at all. :)

Got these today.

From HMV Japan:
Image
Unlucky Morpheus - affected
Mardelas - Daybreak / Phantasia [single]
Moth in Lilac - Moth in Lilac [EP]
e:cho - Ricostruzione
Manipulated Slaves - The River Without End [EP]
Alice in Hell - Creation of the World

From ebay (for pretty cheap too):
Image
Dying Passion "Transient"

Pick of the litter: not sure, I haven't played them all yet. I'll probably go with either Mardelas or Unlucky Morpheus.

Question for the couple of you guys who buy shit tons of Japanese releases: I'm looking for some good sites to find music on but I'm more interested in the Chinese stuff. I know about Yahoo Japan or whatever it's called with the auctions but what are some others. I'd prefer they have English options too if can be.

Actually, Japan's market seems to be separate from Asia - meaning, they'd have to import Chinese stuff in there like they would any other country. Like, HMV Japan might have some stuff from there, but it'd be imported in like something from Germany or the US or whatever. I'm completely oblivious to China's scene, so I'm probably of no help. It wouldn't hurt to give a place like YesAsia a go though, they may have something you want (they're based out of Hong Kong, I think). I'd be surprised if they have much for underground metal though.

--------------------

Anyway, my order from Noppin arrived today:

Image
Destrose "Deathless Memories" [single]
Aldious "Defended Desire" [single]

Image
TOC (Throne of Chaos) "Loss Angeles" [Japanese pressing]
The Abyss "The Other Side"
Lanfear "Towers"
Anguish "Lost Days of Infancy"

Pick of litter: Hrm.... dunno. Those Destrose and Aldious CDs are fairly rare/expensive and I wanted them for awhile, but I think from a musical standpoint, I'll have to go with that TOC album. I love that album and it certainly warranted getting the Japanese pressing to replace my crappy Euro pressing (the bonus track on the Japanese version feels like its intended to be part of the album). That The Abyss is thankfully the Euro pressing (I recall the art on the US pressing sucking). I should've got that back in the mid-90s, but hey, better late than never! I wasn't paying attention when I nailed that Lanfear, but it turned out to be the scarce first pressing. That Anguish was dirt cheap... like $4 US before fees (I saw some clown on ebay trying to sell it for $50 lol).

Obituary - Inked In Blood
Taake - Noregs Vaapen
Bloodbath - The Fathomless Mastery

I'm glad Obituary ditched Ralph Santolla, Andrews is a way better fit.

Just ordered the new Mortuary Drape album from Iron Tyrant. I'm so fucking pumped. All reports indicate this is a throwback to the time before Buried in Time. Ships Monday, I can usually wait for an album to hit stateside but I was powerless on this one. Mortuary Drape is such a huge band for me.

Damn dreadmeat, looks like christmas...it's always a treat getting international mail with goodies inside. "on my days off" ha! I'd be tearing into those like a kid (but with beer and trying to avoid spilling said beer on the contents) while blasting my new stuff! I can still remember several orders like this that I got and just rocked out while grinning ear to ear for the entire night.

On topic...I got the reissue of Satan's Host - Metal from Hell a little while ago, and while it sounds way better than the boots, it turns out the original really did have some production issues. (and I'm a total supporter of raw/shitty production)

Edit: whoa, I need to get me that new Mortuary Drape album!

I don't think I saw someone else post this yet, Relapse records has a 50% off sale for Halloween, if you can get the site to work, it seems to be nearly dead from all the traffic to it. Took me forever to add all the items to the cart and checkout. Sale is only for another hour I think. Many of the better ones were out of stock but I still ordered 11 great records from the sale. They had cds and shirts on sale also but I didn't buy any. Death, Repulsion, Suffocation, Neurosis, lots of good stuff there on sale. Hope they don't cancel the order or something. Edit: Sale is over now.
This is what I ordered from them:

Man, I'm pissed I missed out on that Relapse sale. Would've been nice to snag some CDs.

I don't think I'm even subscribed to their mailing list. Should probably get on that so this sort of issue doesn't happen again.

Here's my big order for this month. Not as much metal as I use to buy but there's some gems in there.

Image
Naglfar - Pariah (digipak, this one was used but in great condition. Love this album)
Kristofer Åström - An Introduction To 1998-2011 (Limited edition, great soothing swedish pop)
Venom - Fallen Angels (Limited edition with two bonus tracks)
Magnus Ekelund & Stålet - Dödskult (Some more great swedish pop)

Image
Slipknot - .5: The Gray Chapter (Limited edition, I know how much this band is hated here but I really like them)
Palms - Palms (Chino Moreno together with members from Isis, pretty good stuff).
Night - Night (Digipak)
Side Effects - A Walk In The Space Between Us (Great swedish rock)

Image
INVSN - INVSN (Swedish version, great band with Dennis Lyxzén from Refused)
Nine Inch Nails - Hesitation Marks (Awesome comeback)
Slipknot - .5: The Gray Chapter (Limited green/transparent vinyl)

Image
At The Gates - At War With Reality (Mediabook edition, one of the best albums this year in my opinion, came with autographs)
Stone Sour - The House of Gold and Bones Part 2

Image
Image
Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence

I got this one really cheap. Do you guys think it's legit or is it a bootleg?
