I'm debating whether to sell my '96 repress of Far Away from the Sun, buy the new vinyl reissue and pocket the $20 or so difference. What do you guys think, anyone have/seen the vinyl edition?

Hahaha, I know right? I also like how the drummer is credited with playing the "Inhuman Pinball Machine" in the booklet. They're an absurd band full of wiggers, but it's totally justified because that album is absolutely perfect and I couldn't care less if the members were fucking mallgoths as long as their music sounded the way it does.

Just bought Ebony Birds by Gods Tower. It's a compilation, but it's better than nothing. For months now I've checked eBay for CD copies of The Turns and The Eerie, yet I've seen nothing. So I just thought "Fuck it" and got the compilation. Knowing my luck, now that I have, there will be a major repressing of both albums and you can get 'em for $20.00 each very easily -.-

Chaos Asylum - Into the Black
Ordered this directly from the band, http://www.chaosasylum.co.uk/merch.html
Seeing as they don't have either a label or distribution, I'll do a bit of promotion for them myself.

Highly competent British speed metal. They sound a lot like Hibria in the riff department, though the vocals are more melodic. They bring to mind Thundersteel-era Riot, and there's some Painkiller in there too. Do check it out!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmjnTUycxYc

Also bought #2 and 3 of Iron Fist magazine. If you have any interest in metal magazines you should definitely get it! It's a lot of metal for your money. Issue 2 covers stuff from Jaguar and Finnish pioneers Sarcofagus, to death metal like Sonne Adam. No -core, no radio-rock, just the real deal. They also have a section on new bands, one on metal around the world, and reviews.

I got the vinyl a while back for a decent deal ($18) and it's absolutely worth it. Beautifully packaged, good quality, great sound.

Bought these in Copenhagen on my job trip:

Goreaphobia - Apocalyptic Necromancy
Degial - Death's Striking Wings
Nagflar - Teras

Bought them at Rock Ugglen. A very nice shop with a fair amount of metal CD's. If you are there be sure to talk to the owner since he keep some stuff behind the counter.

Used goodies:

Enslaved - Isa
Krabathor - Unfortunately Dead
Krabathor - Mortal Memories
Colosseum - Chapter 2: Numquam
Napoleon Skullfukk - Torture Metal
Corpset -Ruins

Amusingly, the last three items are by bands I've submitted myself over the years. Finally stuff that I've found aeons ago finds itself to second-hand shops.

Darkside - Cognitive Dissonance (SoM bargain bin for $2)

Judas Iscariot - Dethroned, Conquered, and Forgotten

Filling in some collections here. I also bought one of each of the five Bolt Thrower shirts for myself, two for friends, a Vinterland MDF shirt, and a Manilla Road Mysterium tour shirt.

Found a local record store, they had some goodies so I brought some home.
About 23 USD for all these, unfortunately the disc in the Trelldom case had been stolen so they asked me to return it tomorrow when I called them and told them.

CDs:
Reverend Bizarre - In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend

2 Righteous Pigs shirts (Stress Related and something else again)
Dystopia - Human = Garbage
Cannibal Corpse - Tomb of the Mutilated, new censored design
Autopsy - white Mental Funeral, fucking amazing design (ty bb). The album art really jumps out with the white background.

Traded my empty Trelldom case for another CD at the record store. I got The Avenger by Amon Amarth. It's really awesome, though the production is a little thinner, but that isn't necessarily bad.
