Purchase from USA via Metal Archives
Atheist - Piece Of Time [US, reissue] woops, I already have this one... new to Discogs

Corrosion Of Conformity - Animosity [GER, 1994 reissue] killer, old COC rules
Exodus - Fabulous Disaster [US, repress] some classic tracks on here, pity I already have an identical copy, I wasn't paying attention here ha ha
Grave Miasma - Odori Sepulcrorum [CAN, digipak] not bad

Bolt Thrower - In Battle There Is No Law [T-shirt, size small] I'm size medium, I might just pin it to the wall...

Blood - Gas Flames Bones [ITA] 2nd copy, woops
Krieg - Blue Miasma [GER, original] pretty dark stuff
Krieg - The Church [US] bleak, really cool usbm

Asphyx - Death...The Brutal Way [GER] sounds like Asphyx
Evile - Enter The Grave [EUR] pretty good modern thrash

Oh yeah, pick of the litter! :nods:

Burning Witch - bit of a surprise discovering these guys have been around for ages and play exactly the kind of sludge/doom I like: filthy and harsh
I think I discovered them via Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine

The Lions Den wrote:
Ah ah I love Bone Gnawer ignorance and 'fuck smart' attitude, also praise pillars of death metal like Terry Butler, Chris Barnes and Kam Lee. For sure "13" have decent tracks, Decomposition... or Deathklaat for example, but the production is a bit dry to my ears.

The third album is Mefitic "Woes of Mortal Devotion", italian band out on NWN! Prod. They play an intense and obscure Incantation style death metal with deep deep and deep vocals from the Homo Erectus era ahahah... you can give a spin here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5am5G35M9Q
hoping like it

P.S. A Blaze... is a classic indeed!

Just listened to Mefitic, pretty awesome stuff! Have to check out the rest of the album. And Homo Erectus-vocals :D :D

Yeah, I fucking love the unholy trinity of Darkthrone.

Here's what I've collected in the past couple months. I've sold a lot of CDs recently. Much more so than I'm bringing in.

Tapes
--------
Ozzy Osbourne - Ozzmosis
Toni Basil - Word of Mouth
Derek & the Dominos - Layla
Ted Nugent - Intensities in 10 Cities
Molly Hatchet - Double Trouble Live
Traffic - On the Road
Mahogany Rush - Live
LA Guns - Cocked & Loaded
Kix - Blow My Fuse
Black Oak Arkansas - Raunch n Roll Live
Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East
Robert Johnson - Complete Recordings

Vinyl
--------
Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
Steppenwolf - Live
Joan Jett - I Love Rock n Roll
Screaming Blue Messiahs - Bikini Red
the Swimming Pool Q's - Blue Tomorrow

CD
-----
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine, Broken
Megadeth - Cryptic Writings, Risk
Rainbow - Straight Between the Eyes
Motorhead - 1916

So, Cryptic Writings. I really like it actually. Can't get enough of "The Disintegrators." I think it's a helluva lot better than Youthanasia overall. I can't believe that album has an 81% average rating here on the archives. "Train of Consequences" and "A Tout le Monde," that's about it.

A couple orders arrived today. One should've arrived on Monday, but bounced back and forth between Vancouver and Toronto for some strange reason. The other took a whopping 2 days to get from Japan to here (mind you, the time zone differential extends that to 3 days). No wonder why I can't stand ordering anything via airmail anymore.

Image

Rie a.k.a. Suzaku - Mother Earth
Rie a.k.a. Suzaku - Messiah
Rie a.k.a. Suzaku - Kingdom Of The Sun
Rie a.k.a. Suzaku - Dreaming Eyes
Iris Monde - Hello / Lilith Police
Rapunzel - 白い本-Rapunzel物語集 I-
Fate Gear - A Light in the Black (w/ alternate CD cover)

Image
(all progressive rock / papersleeves - no idea if they're SHM-CDs or HQCDs though)

平山照継 (Terutsugu Hirayama) - Castle Of Noi
平山照継 (Terutsugu Hirayama) - Symphonia
Teru's Symphonia - Egg The Universe
Teru's Symphonia - Human Race Party
Mr. Sirus - Dirge
Magdalena - Magdalena
Vienna - Overture
Vienna - Step Into Vienna

PoTL - haven't played anything yet, but that Fate Gear is my most anticipated CD from this order. I'm sure the Mr. Sirius and Teru's Symphonia are the best albums on this order though.

I had a ton of coupons and they had a 23% multibuy discount, so that papersleeve order was fairly cheap. I still haven't gotten through my last order yet lol

Yeah, my biggest obstacle to 80s Japanese prog is my love of original CD pressings which basically means that I have to use yahoo auctions and that really hurts the wallet. Granted, I have a few papersleeves, and they are all nice, but having something from the 80s esp. from Japan is really exotic for me (I love those old Kenso albums I have).

Returned from US today, and I found some stuff over there:

Image
Ash Borer - Ash Borer (Coloured Lp)
Ash Borer - Cold of Ages (Double Lp)
Fauna - Avifauna (Double Lp)

Bought at Zions Gate in Seattle. Not very cheap, but better than ordering them online from the states!

Image
Camel - Moonmadness
Nektar - A Tab In The Ocean
Blue Öyster Cult - Cultösaurus Erectus
Sounds To Make You Shiver

All for a good price at a newly opened vinyl shop outside of Chicago.

Image
December Wolves - Wolftread

Found this at a store called ''Bucket O' Blood'' in Chicago. Cool place!

And on Friday I will pick up new stuff that have arrived here at home!

From deepdiscount.com:
Paul Chain - Life and Death (2013 paper sleeve reissue).

Used from local music store Rasputin:
Church of Misery - Master of Brutality (first press. I already have this press of this album, but since it was only $1.95, I figured I could flip it for a profit. Unfortunately, I seem to have overestimated its worth).

Queen - Queen II (2011 re-release with bonus EP. This is my first Queen album. I'm not a big fan of Queen, but I've heard their first two albums are heavier than what they're generally known for. Unfortunately, when I go to the CD store, the first two albums are usually around $18. Since this one was only 12, I snatched it up. Not bad. Still planning on getting the first album).

Primal Fear - Primal Fear & Nuclear Fire. My first tastes of Primal Fear. Took a chance since they were $5.95 each. Both albums are enjoyable, but neither of them make me desire to hear any more of their work).

Nox Arcana - Darklore Manor (I found out about Nox Arcana from someone on this board, recommending their music for Halloween. I listened to some of their stuff, but wasn't impressed. But when I found this for $2.95, I decided to give them another shot. Glad I did, as I found it pretty enjoyable. Reminds me a lot of the music Castlevania 64, as well as the dark prog bands Antonius Rex and Jacula (1980 to present albums)).

Spoiler: show

From grooves-inc.com:
Black Sabbath - Born Again & Seventh Star deluxe editions (cool bonus tracks. The Fallen is a Born Again session outtake, and I really like it, I think it could've replaced Keep it Warm on the original album and it would've been an improvement. I also liked the extended version of Stonehenge. On SS, the Ray Gillen live tracks are pretty cool, he does a really good job singing Ozzy and Dio era songs. Ian Gillan does a good job on the live tracks too. On both albums, I like the Ozzy era classics with added keyboards, particularly Black Sabbath, War Pigs, and Iron Man).

Cruachan - Blood For the Blood God

From theomegaorder.com:
Crown of Autumn - The Treasures Arcane: Transfigurated Edition (got it on clearence, the price of the disk + shipping only cost me something like $5.25).

Found three tapes at a local peddlers mall today:

Fastway - s/t
Fastway - All Fired Up
Zed Yago - Pilgrimage

I expect Fastway to suck but I was willing to take a 99 cent risk. Autothralls review for Zed Yago actually has me kinda fired up.

What about ordering them from their official website? I'm sure that's what I'll have to do to find any more of their albums.

heavyrocks yeah dude :nods:

Bought these from Redscroll via Discogs, evidently some of them are secondhand

Abominant - Warblast [US] I haven't heard them much but it's quite good, they've been around for years, the first 40 seconds of this sounded like black metal ha ha
Abruptum - Vi Sonus Veris Nigrae Malitiaes [US, Biz2Net repress] 1 hour of bleak harsh bm and random screams/unexpected wails, indeed
Black Sabbath - Never Say Die! [US, repress] it's ok
Black Tusk - Taste The Sin [US] just getting into these guys now, really good swamp/sludge
Burning Witch - Crippled Lucifer (10 Psalms For Our Lord Of Light) [US, 2xCD, repress] accidental double up, it does rule though - trader
Dark Funeral - Vobiscum Satanas [US, original] not bad but didn't jump out at me
Deiphago - Into The Eye Of Satan [US] my new favourite Deiphago album, this totally rips!
Down - IV: The Purple EP [US, Digipak] hmm! usually I don't care much for Down but this is quite good
Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today [US, original] I'll be trading my 2012 reissue now
Goatsnake - Black Age Blues [US] hell yes! love this album, I don't get the inserts though
Infernäl Mäjesty - One Who Points To Death [GRE, repress] slightly different artwork to my other version, 1 will get traded off
Lucifugum - Involtation [UKR] not really my cuppa tea - trader
Marduk - Deathmarch Tour EP [SWE, EP] rehearsal and live stuff, probably ltd ed
Marduk - Hearse [SWE, single, ltd ed] the funeral is about to begin, sir
Ramesses - The Tomb [UK] I'm still digesting this, it's awesome for sure but doesn't quite grab me as much as Misanthropic Alchemy
Saturnalia Temple - To The Other [US, Anja Digipak] excellent stoner doom stuff, I have NR too
Vasaeleth - All Uproarious Darkness [CAN, EP] pure knuckle dragging dm, short and gnarly

Pick of the litter: I've been looking forward to the Deiphago for months so you'd think it would be that, the Saturnalia Temple is excellent too but this Goatsnake is the prize winner for sure and a bit of a surprise that I like it this much, that guitar tone! this is heavy like Conan heavy, yes.

Yeah when people think Queen they think of the later stuff with the huge pop hooks and less aggressive music. The first 2-3 albums are a lot different. More hard rock and more progressive song structures. I like all eras of Queen but the early stuff is great.

Anaal Nathrakh - When Fire Rains Down from the Sky, Mankind Will Reap as It Has Sown EP. Wasn't even that expensive. The sound is a bit tinny compared to the later works, but it's a fine EP, anyway.

Haha, I can't get into Incantation. Last year I bought the Dirges Of Elysium album and found it really boring. Can't get through it in one listen.
I really wanted to like it..... :p

Also the LP/recordplayer birthday haul: Nice! You have an awesome girlfriend haha. I bet most of the people here don't tell theirs how much money their records consume :D
