After a long search, I finally found a copy of Scald - Will of the Gods is Great Power on vinyl. This is one of my favourite albums ever, so the steep price tag was worth it.
Spoiler: show

Jesus fucking Christ! That 2nd pressing of Bathory sold for about $200 the other week on ebay and it was beat to shit. I've got To Mega Therion on Combat but I really need the Noise pressing with the poster.

The best is that except one of the Kreator covers which has a huge split all other stuff looks almost unplayed. Except the Destruction "Infernal Overkill", all posters and original inserts are still included.
Sometimes life means it good with you, $200 was the price I paid for the whole lot :-)

Who in their right mind would sell all that for so cheap? I though 2 Kreators and a Possessed for $50 was the best deal ever haha

Psychotic Waltz - all albums, in the 2004 reissued box-sets

Can't fucking wait. Never heard their final two so that should be interesting. Knowing my taste I think I will enjoy em.

Well actually he is still alive as was talking to him on the phone but I had the impression he wasn't firm with internet as it seems he does not know what Ebay or Paypal is :-).
Maybe some 60+ old guy wanting to get rid off his stuff he doesn't need anymore. Sometimes people really don't know about their treasures at home. That was the price he was asking for but to be honest I only knew I will get 30 Thrash Metal LPs from the 80s without knowing which albums in detail.

I'm personally a big fan of Aelin but it can be a challenging listen. Their new album is about half as long and I'm expecting great things.

Aelin is very corny in some ways but I love it. I couldn't stand the lyrics at first, but after browsing the lyric sheet I am digging it.

I got the Cultes Des Ghoules - Coven album and it's fucking amazing! I didn't even realize it is set up as a play (as in a play in the theater) and it makes everything so much more awesome. This is AOTY!

I probably wouldn't have started with this one but they're a great band and I hope you dig them. Ominous Doctrines is spectacular.

I just ordered Coven by Cultes des Ghoules.

You could probably start with their new one. It's super clean and melodic for a black metal album, though the songwriting is so advanced and complex, coming at you from all directions all the time, that it makes up for that in terms of extremity.

Empyreal I hunted through your top reviews for a hidden gem like the next Slough Feg but I can't get into much of this power metal.

Well not sure what you checked out specifically, but I never said a lot of the stuff I reviewed was anything like Slough Feg.

That's cool...glad to hear it. If you want Slough Feg-esque stuff I'd recommend Antiquus, they are a killer band. Tons of quirky off-kilter riffs. Hanker, too, are pretty similar. Just an odd, freethinking heavy metal act. And Pharaoh and other Chris Black projects have the same kind of cool factor in that they are totally uncompromising, anti-mainstream metal, despite not really sounding like Slough Feg much.

Immortal - At the Heart of Winter
Opeth - Morningrise
Ultar - Kadath

There's nothing quite like finding a physical copy of an obscure Russian post-black metal band in a record store.
