Star-shapped vinyl, really? Is that even practical? Can you post a photo?

Not the Sabbat vinyl, obviously, but still pretty interesting.

Seems to be the right vinyl as well (can check later tonight if someone wants it verified). Same picture is depicted at isten.net:

I got my Gojira limited edition 'l'enfant sauvage album + live dvd + t shirt bundle limited edition in the mail today, super happy with it. The two bonus tracks are amazing, just as good as the regular ones, and the t-shirt is pretty damn cool to. Haven't had any time to watch the live dvd yet, but it should be amazing. :-D

Image

Something about the album itself, I think Gojira has found the sound they were looking for, and they are sticking with it. Ofcourse their sound right now is amazing, and another album in this style would still be awesome, but I'm kinda missing the suprise of From Mars to Sirius/The Way of All Flesh. Those two album were both a amazing progression in style and overall songwriting, and I was expecting the same from Sauvage.. oh well, I'm sure Gojira will progress further when they feel like it.

Wait, yeah, I forgot to look at the title of the record in question. :grumble: I just saw that the band's name wasn't on the vinyl and thought to myself "derp, not theirs!" Whoops.

Nice. I wouldn't mind a shirt myself. Yeah, I think Gojira are happy with their sound the way that it is right now, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, all the full-lengths now. I was surprised I managed to get those two! I ended up paying around $20 for the two today, but slightly less for the other 2 as I got them online.

Thanks! I wasn't going to get the shirt but I decided I need to rotate some clothes. :)

I forgot to throw down my purchases from Warriors of Metal. There was a pretty decent little slice of merch but it was hotter than a fucking snuff film out there so I didn't really spend much time shopping. Just snagged these two beauties:

Pariah - Blaze of Obscurity
Borrowed Time - Arcane Metal Arts (with the Fog in the Valley 7" as bonus tracks)

I haven't torn into the Pariah yet, but I've probably listened to the Borrowed Time demo 15 times by now. The demo material and the two songs from the 7" don't have that much in common, but both styles are pulled off flawlessly. The demo tracks are a lot more obscure and occult sounding, clearly hugely influenced by Crystal Logic-era Manilla Road. The two more recent songs are a lot more NWOBHM-y but they really made it their own, it doesn't sound like they're carbon copying any old band in specific. Really energetic riffing and vocals, interesting song structures with some twists and turns. Unbelievably catchy in places also, a few vocal lines I just can't extricate from my head.

Just got Uriah Heep - Demons & Wizards on vinyl for $2, took it home and found it had Sir Lord Baltimore - Kingdom Come in the slipcase instead. Still cool, and it could have been much worse.

Also got Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick on vinyl for $2 same place (garage sale). I'll have to read that whole newspaper sometime...
