Well, that's not uncommon at all. Many people go on 4chan in order to get off.

Very, very solid band with a fucking amazing bass player. I prefer their material with Mr. Hustler especially Altered Genesis, although their two most recent albums with Vald on vocals have loads of killer tracks too, especially the Gorguts cover on Come Death. That opening riff is so bad ass. :headbang:

Yeah they are awesome. Their latest album Souls of Damnation is pretty solid.

Yeah, Blood Red Throne is great. They just seem to always have a good ear for riffs. I'd recommend Altered Genesis as a starting point, also Affiliated With the Suffering.

I'm only familiar with their last two albums; 'Come Death' and 'Souls of Damnation'. I bought Come Death at a gig when we see them support another band, Divine Heresy. I didn't listen to the CD for at least a year. I got around to listening to it properly when I was making a mix CD and was looking for something different to put on the disc, while playing through some albums on random, 'Slaying the Lamb' (Come Death) came on and I decided to play the album all the way through. I was really impressed with the band and their no nonsense approach and no gimmicks, just straight forward death metal.

When 'Souls of Damnation' came out I bought the limited edition which has two extra tracks; 'Manifest Of Lies' and 'Affiliated With The Suffering'. I've got to say the bonus track 'Affiliated With The Suffering' is the best track on the album, so if you're going to get the album, make sure it's the limited edition. I plan to get the rest of their discog soon.

I'm a little surprised they're not more popular than they are.. well, I don't know many people who have ever mentioned them in my circle.

BRT have become a firm fave of mine.

The first three albums are really great. Mr Hustler is a much better vocalist than Vald, and though it has been different drummers on the first three records, the drumming is also better here than on the two latest.

Start with Altered Genesis and work your way backwards.

Oh, hell yes, I love this band. Definitely one of my favorites. I always love how it's like the bassist plays bass like a guitar and the guitarists play guitar like bassists, lol.

I listen to them frequently. Great band. Like someone else in this thread mentioned, they seem to have a great ear for riffs, especially those riffs that want to kick your ass, you know? Monument of Death and Come Death are my favorite albums. They definetly deserve some recognition by now, especially after releasing 5 full-lenght's and one EP.

I really like the albums -

Blood Red Throne - Monument of Death
Blood Red Throne - Affiliated with the Suffering

Yet to hear any of there newer albums but I'm sure they are as good.

Im surprised they arent more popular also.

Come Death is my favorite out of all of them, but all of them are worth buying. Come Death just has the meanest and heaviest guitar tone by far. The first two sounded a little bouncy.

Blood Red Throne is pretty sweet. Their bass player knows what he's doing, that's for sure!

Start with Altered Genesis. It's such a badass, straightforward death metal album. The riffs are addictive.
