Revolver isn't a very good metal magazine, and I was very surprised when they put "Black Gives Way to Blue" as their pick for best album of the year. I'm sure it's a great album(AIC is one of my favorite bands) but I'm still very skeptical about this choice. They put this album over Mastodon, Converge, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Kylesa, ect. Thoughts?

It is a great album. While being the best of the year is debatable, I wouldn't argue against it.

Does Revolver even cover Agoraphobic Nosebleed?

Personally, I was going to make it my favorite album of the year but I just can't say no to Heaven And Hell...

Well, judging from the other bands you listed as being in their list, Black Gives Way To Blue was by FAR the best choice, and it was definitely a fantastic album, album of year debatable, but that's cause both Be'lakor and Project Hate released two fucking INCREDIBLE albums this year.

Well, I reckon there's a pretty good chance it'll be about gory tits.

A really really good album, and I am glad it is Revolver's album of the year.

It's a brilliant album, and certainly one of my favourites of the year, but I'm not sure I can call it the single greatest.

Hails to the Chains baby.

Happy to hear their new material is receiving such great feedback, and this nomination puts a smile on my face.

Great Album from a Great Band. Hopefully the next one ups the ante.
