Thanks man. I'd love to go there, but my parents aren't up for the 2 hour drive to get to Stroudsburg. Do you know of anything closer?

What, to lazy to go out to L.A.? There's some nice shops out there, which I haven't been to yet, but they're mentioned earlier in this thread and I'm too lazy to go back and point them out.

On Hollywood Blvd there are like 4 stores right next to each other. It is on the same side as that Chinese theater thing if that helps.

I will be going to Cincinnati from June 22 to June 27 and I want to buy a hoodie of a Thrash Metal band, but I don't know where to buy it. Can anybody recomend me a store with good amount of hoodies from Thrash Metal bands? Much better if it's near Cincinnati downtown.

Sound Revolution on 1960 is a great store if you haven't already checked it out.

For anyone in the southern Oregon/extreme northen Cali, Loose Nut Records just opened up in Grants Pass, Oregon. They deal in mainly punk and the darker side of metal but they're fairly cheap...i.e. 13 bucks for shirts, 10 to 15 for CDs.

I'll have to check it out once I get some cash. Do they have a lot of thrash albums?

Schoolkids Records is your best bet. Decent metal selection. CD Alley in Chapel Hill has a comparable one.

Any shops in Istanbul/Turkey? Not just pure-metal shops, but also shopping centres where I could find more diverse music selection (metal included ofcourse).

Thank you.

Sucks that Relapse is no more. Is Noise Pollution still around?

The FYE at Neshimany Mall in Bensalem has it's own Metal section with some nice stuff. I picked up the latest Forest Stream and Absu albums there for 9.99 each.

Princeton Record Exchange is also cool. I've found some nice stuff there.

I live in Bend. I go to 2nd Ave in Portland anytime I'm up there, the place is amazing.

Sorry for the late reply, mate but in Burleigh Heads where I go up to every now and again, we stay at this apartment that is down the road from a strip of shops. I can't be specific on names as I can't remember but on that main, local street there was a music shop not dedicated to metal but it did have a Darkthrone CD in there. That same street had this odd, out of place witchcraft shop (only meters from the sunny beach, mind you) that I picked up Satyricon and Enthroned shirts from. They had a pretty good but small selection of metal shirts in there.

They were nothing amazing but the fact they were located in such a surfer dominated area is nothing short of amazing.

Any chance your memory's improved since March, Cyrax? I'm planning a trip to the Gold Coast in a week or 2 and I'm not familiar with the area.

Theres Resurrection records in camden, they have alot of goth/inudstrial/darkwave etc but also alot of metal/extreme metal. London really doesnt have any record shops that specialise totally in metal, also resurrection records if can be awfuly expensive, some CDs reach £15-20 so be expected to pay alot.

if you find yourself in Seattle, WA, USA...

the only "metal" shop is indeed a metal/dub shop, Zions Gate, with multi-hundred dollar Bathory LPs on the wall and more t-shirts than is reasonable.

there is also the only "punk" shop, Singles Going Steady, which has new & used metal in sections.

if you don't mind a trek or are cool with flipping through thousands of records to find the ONE, be sure to check out:

http://www.dissonantplane.com/ is a small shop in Ballard that has some metal, and noise and weird stuffs.

http://www.everydaymusic.com/ has large amount stock to sift through, predominantly used, and a small "metal, noise, etc" section

http://easystreetonline.com/ had metal sections at one point but i think they've swept it all together (at least in the vinyl section) have walked away with many fine things here.

http://www.sonicboomrecords.com/ mostly indie garbage, but, has some things, some times...

http://www.jivetimerecords.com/ run by nerds, no metal section.

and there are even more than that, but these are the big ones.

Encore is your best friend. I know its off of Anderson Lane. Either way look up their website, Encore movies & music.

Outside of that, nothing really. Your best bet to find metal is either at Waterloo Records or Cheapo's.

For ANYONE in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area, in Delaware County down the street from my house there is a small CD outlet called "Goodies." It's in Holmes, PA, about 15 minutes from Philadelphia. They have extremely underground black/death/thrash metal, as well as all the new releases of well known bands. VERY good metal selection, and no CD is over 10 dollars.
