I think Raw Black Trashing Madness (Evil/Abigail) is a very good split, one great trashy BM song each band; and the split of Campo de Mayo / Permafrost(arg) is very good also, well done straight forward BM of old Darkthrone and Burzum vein...

Those are the best splits I heard this year...

Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Insect Warfare was a good split even tho it was really short. I know A.N has short stuff but the album in on a 5inch record. And didint fill the whole thing up. Still a good record to have in my collection

best split of 2009 is the Abigail/Camlann/Retaliation split. why? because im on it, Retaliation is awesome and Abigail are god.

okay, that doesnt count since its not out yet. i have no idea what my favorite split of 2009 is, so im checking out everything you all post. Metal Archives saves the day?

The Trench Hell/Assaulter split is probably awesome, but i haven't heard it.

Not many noteworthy splits this year, or at least not with the bands that I follow religiously. I don't really keep track of splits, but the Chapter Ahead Being Fake by Boris and Torche was good. The tracks were quite lacklustre compared to the band's respective previous work, but it's nice to see two bands like that working together.

Also, yeah. Seconded. AnB have had a real good year. The one with Insect Warfare was great, especially with Insect trying to recreate Napalm Death's You Suffer on Coded Steel. I'm not sure if I should feel like I've wasted $10, though, since it was only on for 6 minutes. Amazingly good, though.

Hehe, there's no much coincidences and options between the posts, I guess this ending year was not too good for splits, kind of mediocre...

And yeah, my personal favourite splits are from 2005 and 2007...

that katharsis anteaus split would be great if the volume wasn't so low on it.

Huge fan of Infernal Stronghold/GATT split, boy that's good. Turned me onto two great bands.

having a tough time thinking of more, but i'm sure they're out there.
