I saw it in Wallingford, CT this past Wednesday. I thought it was a fairly good show, if not a little boring in the middle. Scale the Summit started things off on the right note. They were flawless despite only a tiny crowd being there. In my opinion, they are one of the best prog bands around right now. Anyone else here dig em?

Did not see any of Bigelf.

Zappa was very good, if not a bit too long of a performance.

Dream Theater killed it. I wish they would have done more than an hour and a half though. They played Beyond This Life, Hollow Years, and closed with The Count of Tuscany. That was a great encore, as it is easily my favorite off the new CD.

What did you guys think of the tour?

I saw the "D.C." show (that was actually in Columbia, Maryland) and it was excellent.

Scale The Summit are amazing musicians, and Bigelf has awesome stage presence.

Queensryche went next, and did a setlist built from Empire, Rage For Order, and American Soldier. Tate's 9-year-old daughter actually came out to sing "Home Again" with him.

ZPZ was mind-blowing, the musicianship was actually somewhat scary, and they had a very fun setlist. It kinda pissed me off that so many people disappeared during their set without even hearing the first song.

Dream Theater was too amazing for words to even describe. Here's their setlist:

1. A Nightmare To Remember
2. Prophets Of War
3. Sacrified Sons
4. Rite Of Passage
5. Dance Of Eternity
6. One Last Time
7. Solitary Shell (including Petrucci and Rudess solo spots)
8. In The Name Of God
9. The Count Of Tuscany (Encore)

I left very satisfied, the best show I've ever been to.

I'm going to see it in October.
I have high hopes for DT and I also hope that Opeth put on a good show.

Im a huge DT fan, seen them 3 times but the first half of this setlist sucks. I would be thoroughly disappointed after track 4. However the second half is fucking killer.

Prophets Of War and Sacrificed Sons are among the worst decisions for a setlist IMHO.The rest is killer though.

Prophets of War, yeah, but Sacrificed Sons kills.

I saw Progressive Nation in Boston. It was a good show. I came to late to see Scale the Summit, so I got to see about half of Bigelf's set. They were pretty good. Very 70's. Then came Zappa, and that I did not like. There was so much damn instrumental wank. It got tiring, and towards the end I started falling asleep. Fortunately, they left the stage. A while later Dream Theater came on. Overall they put on a great show, although I do wish Labrie had interacted more with the crowd. If I remember correctly, the set list was this:

A Nightmare to Remember
A Rite of Passage
Hollow Years
Dance of Eternity
Prophets of War
Solitary Shell
In the Name of God
Count of Tuscany (Encore)

I wanted to go to the Progressive Nation show in Atlanta, but I didn't have anyone to go with...

I know that Dream Theater change up their setlists a lot but why don't they play more from the first 3 albums?

^They are occasionally playing Metropolis, Take the Time, Caught in a Web, Erotomania, and Voices on this tour. Nothing from the first album though.

I caught this tour in Boston and had a great time. Seeing Dream Theater play In The Name of God back to back with The Count of Tuscany was utterly mind blowing. Not to mention Dance of Eternity into One Last Time. Sweet jesus.

Don't even talk about it, I fucking missed it... I forgot it... I really wanted to see Scale the Summit, more than all the bands there.

God dammit, can LaBrie even sing Voices anymore?

It sounded pretty good when they played it in Melbourne. Although definitely not as good as the recording. Shame.
