I am looking for some info regarding this historically important release. I have uncovered a copy of this vinyl at a thrift store near where I live and it seems to be in pretty good condition. I checked on MA and found that is was published on Tyfon and later distributed. The one I found is marketed by MCA. What I need to know is if this is an original second pressing? What mught be the value it would have?

It's not very rare. Especially the MCA version. I'd say it's worth anywhere from 30 to 40 USD. Depending on condition.

Last thread about this split: http://metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=50361

I don't think MCA was involved, but the RCA editions are in deed real, though there are quite a lot of them. They did a few batches - not sure if there's any way to tell them apart. Anyway, if it's a RCA issue it has to be in really good condition and you'll need some luck to get anyone give you $40 for it.

That one on CultMetal is the one I found. The condition is about the same as the one in the picture. I'll probably get it for 5 dollars off the guy.

Thanks for the help.

From what I recall on the split is that it's very common, there were thousands of copies of it pressed, however it can probably still fetch about $20-30 at the very lowest, some claim it can reach up to $50 as well by people who want to own the historical release.
