I just picked up a used copy of said cd. It's a digipak on Necropolis 1994, no other labels or dates are mentioned. The cd is clear with an orange pentagram outline. I see a jewel case version on eBay right now, which also claims to be Necropolis 1994 original release. Anyone know what is what here?? Is mine a reissue or the jewel case a reissue, or were they both issued around the same time? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about that one. The digipak may be the re-issue possibly. I bought the jewel case version in the mid 90's, but there may well have been a digipak also released this time. Has yours got any extra tracks? The normal cd has 12 on it.

Is there a website listed in the booklet? Necropolis didn't have a website in 94. I've never heard of the digi pressing, I had the first pressing and that was a normal cd in a jewel case.

If it includes the tracks from Black Blood.... its obviously a re-release. Black Blood was only a tape and slipcase CD.

No bonus tracks, no website mentioned. Tough call I guess.

I've purchased Dawn's Slaughtersun in digipack format and that was an original Necropolis print... it could very well be an original The Black cd. I have the first print jewel case version myself.
