Ive given the new Drudkh album a cursory listen. So far, I cant really comment yet, but my impressions are not good at all. Resembles garbage like Aggaloch and Falls of Rauros. I dont get the point of this album - each previous work had a theme that it elaborated on, this seems to be a pointless mishmash of nonsense. This band has been getting worse with every release past Autumn Aurora. Blood in Our Wells was their last decent work, and Microcosmos seems to be a new low for them.

What are your opinions on the album?

Well, by calling Agalloch and Falls of Rauros "garbage," your opinion on the new Drudkh has lost credibility with me.

That being said, I haven't heard the new Drudkh, but am awaiting its availability over here. I like what I've heard in the samples.

I've never liked Drudkh or Agalloch and am pretty sure I won't like this.

i've played it a few times. wrote a review that hasn't been posted yet.
if you're comparing them to Agolloch or Falls of Rauros, then you probably have never actually listened to either of those bands. I don't see where you're drawing this comparison. i think this album is great, it's up there with BioW or Swan Road for quality, definitely an improvement over the slightly rushed sound of Estrangement.

Comparison to Aggaloch and Falls of Rauros in the sense that the riffs somehow sound like indie rock that was just draped in black metal aesthetic. Listening to Decadence right now, the track is pure boredom. Generic black metal "fuzz" with rockish lead tunes superimposed at random.

Drudkh has never sounded like Agalloch, and judging from the samples they haven't made such a drastic change in style.

I still haven't checked this band out yet.

But if they sound like agalloch, I'm more than willing.

They do actually sound a lot alike. Both bands have a way of strumming chords and drifting aimlessly through songs without any thought out structure.
