No folks, it's not a full length album, but a compilation featuring 4 tracks from their 1987 demo ''Divus de Mortuus'', 4 tracks from their 1988 (unreleased) demo and 6 live tracks of Necrovore performing in San Antonio! Thought I'd made a topic about this, as anyone already heard it? Trying to find it and downloading it right now.

This sounds great! I'm really interested to hear their unreleased demo. If these guys do indeed put out a full length I'm curious if they'll still have the same magic that they did back in their early days.

Who's releasing this? Hopefully some worthwhile label which knows how to handle their shit.

My inference is that the "long lost demo" is just the alternate to Divuus...it has a cleaner sound as the technician didn't understand what black/death was supposed to sound like.

Really? Better sound that Divuus? I need to hear this..

Wait, an album could have worse production than Divuus?

But don't mistake this CD with the "Divus De Mortuus - Necrography" Bootleg- CD that got released some months ago. Both bootleg-CDs have the same frontcover, but the Necrography CD is lacking the re-recorded version of the demo.

Really? I didn't think this was lost...I just thought they refused to release it.

This CD is the definition of a bootleg. My friend and I were looking at it on Ebay a couple nights ago. It says its released on "New Braunfels Records." New Braunfels is the small town where they are from (It is also where I'm from...though I've never met any of the members...to my knowledge). As soon as we saw "New Braunfels Records", we couldn't contain our laughter.

I'm curious about the unreleased material though, but I refuse to pay the prices I've been seeing for it.

Really? Even for a bootleg, I'd say that's worth the price, with the unreleased demo and live tracks. That's a good deal. I've seen most places want about $30 for it :|

$9 at Necroharmonic mailorder, and still in stock (http://www.necroharmonic.com then order the Crematory - Denial Re-Release CD as well).

...maybe I'll buy this after all. At that price, any self loving Necrovore fan would be dumb not to...unless they already had these tracks, of course. It just sucks seeing bootlegs like this come out. I highly doubt this is supported by the band. But I think my desire to actually hear that unreleased demo and live tracks outweighs any moral obligation to stay true to the band's wishes, at least for me

By the way, there are 3 unreleased K.I.L.L.E.R. tracks on this CD. Here's the songlist that I hear (and which is incorrect on the backinlay)

Demo # 1 1987
1) Mutilated Death
2) Slaughtered Remains
3) Divus de Mortuus
4) Toxic Decay

Demo # 2 1988
5) Mutilated Death
6) Slaughtered Remains (named Demented Evil here on the CD)
7) Divus de Mortuus (named with english translation God Of The Dead here on the CD)
8.) Toxic Decay

Live in San Antonio 1987
9) Mutilated Death
10) Slaughtered Remains
11) Chaotic Malevolence (he announces the title upfront the song and it is a killer unknown track)
12) Divus de Mortuus
13) Toxic Decay

Possibly rehearsal songs, but not live songs in my opinion:
14) ???
Totally awesome unknown track with spoken recitative intro. No idea about the title. I think it is NOT live. Song lasts 4:30 minutes, then there is 12 minute gap on the CD with silence.

Live again (San Antonio again ?? Can't say for sure)
15) Treacherous Abomination
(he announces the title upfront the song, though I hear "Reverend" Abomination, not Treacherous..., or a word sounding like "Reverend" or "renewal" (not pronouncing the "w" or somethign like "reveral", bad quality of the recording here with echos on the voice...). And again an extremely good song, that reminds me with the guitar leads towards the end on Divus De Mortuus.

The demo tracks sound great. I just got this in the mail the other day. The production on the live stuff is really bad though.

So has this release been officially confirmed as a bootleg? Has any of Necrovore's members said anything regarding this CD?
