What's up, I've been around this site for many years but I just realized I haven't posted in the forums. Anyways, onto my main point: What does Lykathea Aflame and Elvenefris mean? I've been looking into this for a few years and still I don't have any leads. I already tried the search function and that didn't garner any results. Given the nature of the band, they're probably religious/spiritual references, but to what culture? All scholarly information would be useful.

Googling 'Elvenefris meaning' gives this...

Quote:
"Lykathea is a word that I created as a concept for a certain level of spirituality and knowledge that mankind is at right now. So Lykathea aflame is a poetic and symbolic expression for spiritual evolution … For when we´ll finally reach " Home "… Lykathea in the flames of light, understanding, sympathy, reconciliation, compassion, love and submission. We walk from Lykathea to Elvenefris... Elvenefris is the spiritual upgrade of Lykathea. It is "home", it is the place where we all finally walk. It is the infinite beauty of pure being, joy, happiness, integrity … and God. " -Ptoe of Lykathea Aflame's explanation of the meaning behind the band and album name.

I don't think it needs to be. Elvenefris is one of the most amazing Death Metal albums I've ever heard.

That album put them firmly in death metal history but I would personally love to hear some more.
