No matter what kind of opinion you stand beside, you are considered a poser, or at least to some extent. There are many different groups of posers which you may be able to find yourself in, so this thread will help identify which kind of poser YOU are. With each type of poser, I will provide a definition of it and quote demonstrating that kind of behavior to make things clear on how that type of poser acts. Please note that this is not quite a serious thread, but a realization that everyone can be considered a poser just from a slightly different light.

Stage 1. Poser (Or what may be percieved as one)

The most common type of poser, often found listening to bands no true metal head would like, or trying hard to fit in, thus making them a 'poser'.

Stage 2. Elevated Poser

This type of poser calls Stage 1 posers as they see them to further themself away from the poser title, making them a poser in the process.



Stage 3. Mature Poser

This group of posers identifies the posers calling other posers posers as posers themselves, which then in turn makes THEM a poser. Because when you look at everything from a distant and mature standpoint and don't get involved in the clusterfucks, then you are definately not a poser, right? Wrong.





Stage 4. Acknowledged Poser

This is kind of the group of poser I would fall into by acknowledging that everyone is a poser, including myself. Not very many would fall into this category as they see themselves 'saved from poserdom' in the previous stages.



Stage 5. Non-caring Poser

These are the types of people that don't use the word poser at all or acknowledge conversations pertaining to posers because they apparently don't care or find this whole poser talk silly. These type of people seem to get the furthest away from the poser title, but really they're just running the truth, as they are posers themselves trying to distance themselves from the aforementioned posers. You thought you could run away, huh? Not bloody likely.

Do you see how silly arguements on hipsters and posers are now? No matter what kind of opinion you stand beside, you are in great danger of becoming one of the aforementioned posers. So it would be cool if all of this 'poser talk' would cease because of said fact.
