I read somewhere he used to work as like a 'Satanist' for a Christian radio station where he would call them up and pretend to be evil but it doesn't really sound like him on it.

Yes the samples from In Torment In Hell were from Glen Benton's feud with Christian talk-show host Bob Larson, a rabid enemy of death metal, especially Deicide and other "Satanic" bands. The clips are pretty funny, but it's obvious Benton was just trolling the shit out of his show:

you know, i hate Larson and the like, but it's annoying shit like the stuff Glen does that makes anyone who is a non-religious or anti-Christian person seem as ridiculous and immature as Glen is. i appreciate what he is trying to do on a certain level, but it's shit like this that makes him create slews of mediocre albums. he gets full of himself and too caught up in trying to make it seem like he's Satan himself. Glen couldn't even kill himself, so what makes anyone think he would ever kill Larson? even with all this exposure, Deicide still isn't the top-selling Death Metal band of all time. that goes to the humble folks over in Cannibal Corpse.
