Geist - Galeere

I enjoy their work under the new moniker but this album here is a Black Metal masterpiece imo. The melodies in the track Helike are simply glorious

Scald - Night Sky

Supremely underground, evocative music. This isn't an all-the-time sort of listen, but the echoing, doomy riffs and the strange warbling vocals really create a definite feeling.

Possessed - Death Metal

Finally got around to buying Seven Churches and Beyond the Gates - first time listening to either all the way through properly, and good lord I've been missing out for years. Death... ...metal!

A Forest of Stars - The Corpse of Rebirth CD

This might be the first time I'm listening to this album since I bought the CD a few years back, hopefully it'll have some surprises for me!

This song is a classic since the very first listening!

It's! First 3 songs of the album are PERFECT!

Interesting and intense atmospheric black metal from Italy, with somewhat of a space/sci-fi vibe and some progressive moments here and there.... Quite special and overall a very nice listen!

I wasn't impressed at all. Too much prog for my taste.

Just brutal and epic death metal from these americans.

Man, I used to LOVE them but they have not done anything interesting since (2002) Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines!

I should listen to this.

Ok, I just finished listening to (2002) Bohren & Der Club Of Gore - Black Earth. What an album and band! I tried to book them for our Jazzaldi but it seems complicated:
http://www.heinekenjazzaldia.com/es/
What a pity!

Now, I'm listening to Ad Astra from (1997) Arcturus - La Masquerade Infernale.
Should give this and (2002) Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors more time.

I would also mention "Of Pale White Morns and Darkened Eves " as one of the highlights of the album alongside "Caradhras" and obviously "Old Mornings Dawn".

Progenie Terrestre Pura is not an easy band but I like them, I would only change the vocals, I miss some agresivity.

About Nile, I really liked Ithiphallic and TFDGT was algo good, but the last one sucks(the vocals are terrible) and Annihilation of the Wicked was boring as fuck.

I have never liked The Masquerade Infernale, I really used to hate this album hahaha.

By the way:

Encircling sea-Yearning

Awesome atmospheric black metal from Australia, what a song!!

I actually thought Annihilation was where they stopped being good. From Ithyphallic i lost all interest. Cast down the Heretic is pretty awesome.

NP: Bolzer - Aura.

Man, this is great. RIFFS. And i love me a two piece band.

Chelsea Wolfe - House of Metal

Venturing out of listening to metal for once. I wouldn't really know what genre this is, but I like it so much I think I'll explore the rest of her discography. It's just perfect for listening to while concentrating on this stupid report I'm writing.

Enslaved - For Lenge Siden

Been listening to their discography today in chronological order starting from the Yggdrasill demo. Eld has pretty weird production, but still it's one of my favorite albums from them. The drum sound especially is awesome and Harald Helgeson is an amazing drummer! One of Norway's greatest bands definately.

Epic song, and I can't wait until their new album! Oh, also I love all of Nile's albums. They last one had a strange production, hopefully they'll correct that in the next one.

It's funny how varied opinions are around these albums.
I think AotW is by far best of them, and enjoyed the latest just a tiny bit more than TWtGD.
